So true. Business owners are customer service representatives as well. It is important to know how to handle customer services concerns & issues. We should not place unrealistic expectations on friends, family, & those close to us. They have a choice to purchase our products & services. Also, they can be supportive in other ways such as offering words of encouragement or suggestions. Marketing is important in business, as well. Thanks for sharing! Be encouraged!

Opened this business TWO years ago to be exact. Check the date. Temporarily closed while I take care of my newborn baby.

I had so many people asking me to restock on lashes and when I did I ordered 75 pairs (I normally order around that amount anyway) and now thag I required orders on my website nobody wants to shop anymore. I hope yo get rid of these by attending a popup shop and then lesson learned lol

I had a similar situation happen. People request certain things, but then end up not shopping. I guess ish happens, but it still kinda sucks. A pop up shop sounds like a great idea!

omgsh!!! girl! that same thing happened to me!! like this girl messaged me on my website business chat and she was telling me that she never got her order and when she gave me the order number it was like a 13 digit order number and did not match my orders I was like omg!! seriously people play to much.... I bet it wasn't an average person or follower I think it was fraudulent type of people.

Idk why people EXPECT family to automatically support their business….hell, does your fam even like/wear/use what you sell? Everything is not for everybody! Can’t be mad

Because that's what family is for to support. Support comes in many forms. Not just purchasing. Also they could still support by making a small donation to your business. How can you tell one they can't be mad people have a right to feel how they feel. It seems family doesn't always equivalate to blood relatives.

True Family is exactly that. And emotions are very much normal we get hurt in life but it motivates us which is why we turn our pain into passion our hurt into hustle whether it be with family, relationship etc. Being let down/hurt is normal. Others whom didn't expect certain things to transpire end up hurt also. All that glitters ain't gold. I'm just not stuck in the matrix so EYE see what life and others are actually about

I agree with this! Your family and friends is not your customers/target audience. As a business owner myself I learned that quick and never got offended because I know my ideal customers and who’s supportive. I had customers all the from London. Your support is from people you don’t know.

@@KathrynBedell Social media have contributed to people becoming lazy. They don't want to do their research at all. Some not all just don't want to put in work. I noticed that some will ask questions just to be intrusive but very rarely act on what they are asking.

I’m scared to start my business because I feel like I’m not gonna get any sells I’m gonna be selling body butters,whipped butters,lipgloss,body oils,body lotion,body wash,lip scrubs and lip oils but I’m scared I’m not gonna get sales when I’m 14
