ENTJ, I COMMAND you to....

The ENTJ personality - the commander, the effective visionary, the one that gets results and leads the way. I admire ENTJs and their ability to boldly pursue their visions. Of the 16 personalities, the ENTJ is the one I try to emulate most to stretch myself. I'm an ENTJ, and this is one of the ENTJ videos I don't play at 1.5x. I really appreciate the Se and Te of this video. It's well organized and pleasing to the eyes. The notes are written on the side, with a blackboard background for the notes which has been planned beforehand. I think I developed my Ni early on (because of childhood stuff), but it was only after college where I started to develop my Fi. Journaling really helped a lot! For looking in the future, and regulating my emotions. Walks in parks are nice too for Fi! .

ENTJ to ENTJs. The cliched statement about slowing down and figuring out what you want is the one and only advice you need to follow through. And you actually need to SIT STILL and THINK about things or people, and how you want them to play out. I'm 10 years in an industry, I have a fantastic resume, and I am at the point in life: "WTF am I doing? Am I happy?" So my advice is to imagine yourself as a free-spirited and happy ISFP and move towards that person in the future. Or at least find a leeway to engage in your hobbies regularly. Alexis! You rock! Thanks for the video!

ENTJ with Enneagram 8. The ability to smash obstacles with shere force of will and organize people came in true colors when I left my job and opened my business with a 15 year vision ahead in my mind. Just imagining the future gives me goosebumps every day. Back then I didn't know anything about this so I investigated a bit. I think my ENTJ activated fully 2 years ago.

This makes so much sense. As an ENTJ I'm usually so focus driven on goals and plans but as my "healthy release" I love to dance to EDM in a privet dance floor complete with supper loud sound system and lots of club lights. It now makes sense why I flood myself with sensory over load as a way of detaching and purely soaking in the present.

My mother would always tell me how efficient I am and how much she loves working with me when I help her what around the house or do stuff for her, such as building a complete Ikea PAX set worth 7 grand within a couple of hours. Her partner, an ESTP, would take forever, do it wrong, crooked, carelessly, give up half way, lose parts, not go by instructions. With instructions, I build things like Legos, relentlessly, no stopping until it's done. This is how I view my life. If I can figure out the proper instructions (guidance) to build my life; whether it's finances, relationships, friendships, health routines, meal preps, etc.-I'd literally be the electric cars of humans, a bit robotic-like with an adjustable speed knob that has also has a "burnout" sensor, so that I'm able to hit limits all the time without burnout, and win at anything. I love it

It was and still is hard to do, since I need to presure myself to "stop". I also always thought that my Ni is great, but I used it just to complete tasks, nothing that deep. It seems that after you "conquer"/integrate your 4th function you finally start to do the 2nd properly and match the 1st in strenght. Great video and accurate.

Then, ride from home to work was 4 hours a day! And I'm forced to think about my day's decisions. I realized, some of the things I do are senseless and do not contribute to a longer goal. As an ENTJ woman I do get shit done. However, im highly impatient when wanting people to get to the point. I'm still working on that, it used to be a need. The main problem area for me is my personal relationships with men. I can't seem to get that right. Its very frustrating. I struggle with giving my partner a part in the relationship. I'm content with them handling their own business and will not ever allow intentions of holding things over my head later. I guess I'm paranoid. Rightfully so, as I've been in relationships where these guys would suck the life out of me so to speak, as if watching me fall gave them the confidence they needed to become successful and leave me behind. Keep in mind I am always the one who leaves the relationships though. I may need to share responsibilities and let a man be a man. What can I say ? I want them to wear the pants, they just need to wear them better than me. LOL. Otherwise, im a boss financially and independently. I'm all about educated perspective. I'm way more on the thinking side than feeling. I'm logical. Perhaps I should have just invested my time in my business but I love to love. We want our lives to go a certain way (we live in the future) so we choose people we can see going the distance with us. Anyways, just a little insight from a woman ENTJ.

  • @TheApoplastic

    @TheApoplastic

    2 жыл бұрын

this concept of 'letting a man be a man' is built on conflating agency and strength with one biological sex...that of males. When people say 'wear the pants,' they are using another sexist conflation of ...well basically sex-segregated intra-relationship fascism. And it's not healthy. Is there a point here that is useful about treating people well? Sure! We ENTJs can work to ensure we are supporting healthy boundaries of our partner and our own boundaries, and we can cheer them on in their lives. ENTJs do not have to make themselves less than they are and diminish their strengths if they happen to be biologically women. ENTJs CAN work on always seeking other's opinions and desires and consent or dissent. ENTJS would do well to frame their educated suggestions for organizing on couple or group projects as educated suggestions. ENTJs can work on building their social and emotional intelligence skills and diplomacy. But this idea that my ENTJ siblings hafta feign a similarity to a social construct if they are women, well, it's inefficient, disrespectful, harmful, a waste, exploitative, laughable, tragic, and . . . has to go.

Sorry but here is a fact. I got divorced once (terrible one that lasted 5+ years - still on-going losing millions of dollars); Going to start the second divorce; The business I am running is my 13th one, meaning all the past 12 failed badly; My business ex-partner sued me and the company (the one right now) and it lasted 2.5 years losing millions of dollars due to litigation costs and settlement costs; Lost my mother when I was in my 20's, whom I really loved.... All my family members ditched me because I ditched my family religion. (I have ZERO communications with all my family members, relatives and close friends since 2017). I probably faced more chaos and disasters than most people around the World but I was never depressed - I probably was somewhat depressed a few times but that would not affect me as near as being an Introvert at all. ENTJs are so sure-footed at all times they will not back off or allow them to be depressed. If you tested yourself as ENTJs for many times , then maybe you have a tendency of admiring ENTJs so you tend to answer "that way". I mean, I can take the test so I could be any of the 16 types at ease. All I have to answer is "how". E-I, S-N, T-F, J-P are very easily distinguishable when answering to questions. What I am trying to say is even if you are an INTJ you could easily answer the questions so you would be an extrovert instead of an introvert. Here is the truth about ENTJs. No matter how bad the situation they are in they would NEVER answer to the questions so the result could come out as an Introvert. There is NO WAY. You really don't know ENTJs. ENTJs don't think that way. Even the hardest obstacles can't change the way they think. If you came out as an INTJ when you were depressed, then you ARE an INTJ because ENTJs, no matter how depressed they are, the result will NEVER come out as an Introvert. Period. P.S. I know very well about INTJs and all the INTJs I met are quite sentimental, soft-hearted and emotional and YES they often get depressed and they "get" affected by it. So I have no doubt to believe that you are really an INTJ. ENTJs are FAR from being sentimental/emotional and get depressed to the point it gets on them. Yes, they "can" become sentimental/emotional/depressed but only very lightly, for a very short period of time and they do not get affected by it.

  • @Jayturbo_ENTJ

P.S. ONE very good way of distinguishing whether you are an ENTJ or not is - If someone is really an ENTJ and if they read/see description of an ENTJ, then they will readily say "YES!!! I am INDEED an ENTJ 100000%!!!" ENTJs are the most decisive of all the types there is nothing like "maybe I am an ENTJ, maybe not..." or "I think I am an ENTJ...". No such thing. All the other 15 types "MAY" think they could be one or the other but ENTJ is the most definite type that you CANNOT be mistaken with something else. If you are unsure, then you are NOT an ENTJ. If you have doubts, then you are NOT an ENTJ. If you test yourself and sometimes it comes out as an ENTJ but some other times it comes out as something else, then you are NOT an ENTJ, Just read or watch videos about ENTJs. ENTJs are SO sure you CANNOT be mistaken with something else. Out of all the videos I watched so far I think THIS would be the most accurate description of an ENTJ. Watch this video and if all 8 topis discussed in this video fits you perfectly (not "maybe" but "perfectly"), then YOU ARE an ENTJ. If not, then sorry but you are NOT. kzread.info/dash/bejne/hapsubawY6fKYbQ.html

Hello! I am an ENTJ, and honestly it isn't always as glittery as people paint it to be. I never stop thinking about what to do next, I am constantly reading in order to feel productive, and my built up emotions overflow after a certain point. It's definitely exhausting, your brain just never completely relaxes (relaxing feels strange to me LOL). Yet I've noticed on youtube many people try to manifest this personality type! Add being a female on top of it, and I feel like a total outcast sometimes, but I'm okay with that :)

I want to share 2 things on my mind right now about my experience “being” an ENTJ. 1) I am obsessed with decision-making. (The process AND the execution. Though the latter quite a bit more). 2) I can be detached from my feelings, and I require external information to understand (verify/ deny/ become aware/ etc.) them. Example: just this morning, my brother was happy for me and I thought to myself, “That (being happy) ‘MUST’ be how I’m feeling right now.” How alien…

One thing I have noticed with these videos on ENTJs is they talk a lot about how ENTJs are not people focused which I think is a bit of a misconception. For underdeveloped ENTJs this can definitely be true - they are the people who are more likely to bulldoze people to achieve their end goals (I think a lot of male CEOs fall into this category of people). However, I think self-aware ENTJs are fully conscious that the needs, particularly the emotional needs, of others are not their strong suit; but they are also aware that this is something that they need to improve on in a lot of spaces, in order to have the full impact in the external world that their Te function wants to have. I think this awareness causes a lot of ENTJs to be inclined toward understanding people and it becomes a very conscious goal. Most of the ENTJs I know, particularly women who are ENTJs, are HIGHLY conscious of how their dominant, go-getter attitude impacts people around them, and they often shape those goals and behaviours to help those around them, because they can be aware of the ways in which their natural pragmatism can be a huge aid to those they love and care about. And because many of these people have been told that people skills are not their strong suit, in typical ENTJ fashion, they do everything they can to better understand how people think and feel. I think ENTJs are very social people but usually stick to a close circle of friends that they would do anything for, I stress the DO anything for. I feel like the first thing an ENTJ will say when someone is having a rough time is "What can I do?" - honest, pragmatic and straightforward. But they will honestly do anything to help those that they value.

I'm an INTP and ENTJ is my shadow type but I really relate to most of this video. It makes me think that maybe I don't fully understand introversion and extraversion like I thought. I've also agreed with most of the stereotypes about INTPs but some of them don't really match me, such as being very smart and clumsy. I'm actually great with my hands at work but often make factual mistakes in conversations (probably because I'm getting ahead of myself). I'm either a very extraverted INTP or a very introverted ENTJ. But the whole "I need to be productive to be liked" thing is straight out of my brain. I just don't feel very in charge or even that productive sometimes. But overindulging in the sensory is absolutely something I do. I also got into meditation as my secret weapon against stress in my late 20s. I had my own eBay business when I was a teen. I'm fairly good at directing people to do things when I need them to at work, but I don't have a leadership position (not anymore. I hated the attention) Shit, I might be an ENTJ

I think there’s a lot of ESTJ’s mistyped as ENTJ’s - tasks are not fun to ENTJ’s, being busy for the sake of being busy isn’t our ideal. ENTJ is goal oriented but it isn’t fulfilled by simply completing things - we prefer fewer, bigger goals with higher risks than ESTJ’s do; we also are not as interested in the procedure/process as we are the overall purpose. We’re happy to just skim the details of how a thing will take place. We also don’t have as many diverse passions. Whereas an estj might be the head of a bunch of different clubs or committee, they put in effort to all of them, also effort in their relationships, their finances, their appearance… ENTJ only puts efforts into the things we care about and we do not care about everything

I am an ENTJ-A (a VERY strong one) and I can never get along with INTJs. All INTJs I met so far think I am narcissist. Just being an "I" instead of "E" makes a HUGE difference. I don't know if you really mean by "you admire ENTJs for...." because INTJs don't (can't) really see ENTJs well enough to judge us. I've tried to talk to INTJs a lot but never worked. They are stubborn with their ideas and not willing to change so I can't really talk to someone who has already "decided" what to do. I get along with INFJs really well but one letter difference makes a HUGE difference. The two top MBTI types I can't along are INTJs and ISTJs. (ISTJs are so narrow-minded - They can't think about anything that's not in their brain - the absolute opposite of ENTJs who are the best at thinking about what does not exist in their brains. Anyways, very surprised at you being an INTJ and say that you admire ENTJs. Thumbs up!

I think I toggle back and forward between ENTJ and INTJ, when I’m working and I took the test I got the ‘E’ and now since I’ve been pregnant and not working, I took the test and I got the ‘I’. 😂🤷🏽‍♀️ watch when I go back to work I’ll get the ‘E’. But when I did first take the test, I only scored 10% more in extroversion. I don’t have time for friendships but people are drawn to me in the workplace, now when they want to talk about work related plans, I’m all ears, but when they want to talk about how was my weekend…😑…hate it, I don’t make it obvious but it’s like nails on chalk board when you want to talk about stuff like that. So I normally give a short reply answer. Lol 😅 ….this one time at work, my coworker brought it to my attention but he says I never ask how his days been or how he’s doing, that I always just go straight to business. I laughed so hard because I never noticed that so it did teach me to slow down and be a little more personal with him. Lol but it’s so hard my mind is like let’s get straight to business. 😅 Also, I noticed I cannot be in subordinate positions for very long, that take charge mentality sees things that could be done differently and perhaps a little better but I try not to overstep boundaries. You know how work place politics goes. 🙄😅 our personality can be difficult to work with, I approach situations with plans and logic but somehow the more sensitive types think I’m being too bossy and forward. 🤨🤦🏽‍♀️ I do speak my mind and people get offended easily by me but it’s because I don’t see it as a big deal in discussing what’s on my mind and 90% of the time they do. We ENTJ’s have to be really cautious in our tone of voice and how we word things. Sometimes I just don’t care and I’ll say it anyways.

I'm an INFP who knows two ENTJs- one is a friend of mine and the other is my cousin. Both of them are so clearly in Te-Se loops, except my friend who is 24 and is getting good at adding in the Ni more now. She says she has already planned out multiple different options of the way her life could go, with financial budgets and everything of course so no matter what route she does, she gets what she wants, as she put it. But I would say she is definitely missing the Fi- I'm probably biased because I am literally an Fi dom lol but still, she has literally said things like "I don't need feelings" or "feelings are for the weak," as she prefers to just keep getting things done. Perhaps Fi will sneak up on her later in life. My cousin, on the other hand, is 17, and I do not believe they have really developed their Ni very much- and I doubt their Fi feelings have crossed their mind much especially. They just like to constantly move and get stuff done like you said- they are taking like 4 or 5 AP classes this year within their 8 class high school schedule, they are working 2 or 3 jobs, and they also volunteer at the local theater to boss people around even though they're not even the director lol. I've seen them do it. They also run several miles a day as a hobby. I've seen their calendar, it's FILLED to the point that every day has multiple things written in about assignments, job and volunteer responsibilities, and all kinds of other stuff. It's insane. I don't think they like to sit and reflect on where life is taking them or on their feelings lol. They're just running on pure drive and lots of RedBull in their clear Te-Se loop. Also side note, the benefit of having an ENTJ as a friend is she helps me with all kinds of things- including budgeting for my recent study abroad trip to Australia and New Zealand. That's why I like MBTI- I have learned as an INFP how to make friends with people I probably wouldn't have become friends with before- like an ENTJ, an ENTP, and an ISTJ. Oh, and two INTPs.

We ENTJs are capable of being with people 24 hours, because we are extroverts, although we also appreciate having time alone, but we don't really need it until we reach 40 years old (or at least that was my case). We are also "very intense". INFJs, being introverts, need more time to be alone than with company. If an ENTJ is with an INFJ all day, they literally end up "charging" them, and not always with positive energy. A very intense ENTJ can have quite toxic behavior, which makes the INFJ angry more than normal (ENTJs are angry most of the time, even if we do not recognize it). If you leave an INFJ alone longer, she is happier ... and argues less ... so the ENTJ / INFJ relationship is better ... so she can read, watch videos, sort her things, clean, dream, meet some close friends, or just have a coffee alone.
