    Story 1 - Put a padlock on your mini fridge And your bedroom door. That stupid "under my roof" BS needs to stop in general. Story 3 - It sounds more like you're the problem here. He should break up with you. Story 4 - She may not have been falling but if she just starts smacking me she'd still end up on the floor. Either pushed or dropped. Last story - Like you said she's upset and rightfully so. But, Yes, she is overreacting. You already know that you screwed up by not talking to her and you already know that you have to cut back drinking. But she doesn't believe that anything happened and she's still acting like an ass over it thinking about breaking up? Just let her go then.

    While I agree to an extent, I can't really blame her either. I for one am very adamant about boundaries, I won't be in a room with another woman alone (unless it's my wife or immediate family), I won't even give my sister in law a car ride alone. It's an inconvenience at times but it leaves no room for doubt.

    Story 1: Okay i get the need to pull your weight in the household and contribute to the house via rent, food, utilities, etc... but this mother is absolutely out of line and crazy. She steals from the OP, then gets mad when he takes them back, and provides the receipt for it, and gets a lock for the fridge. Hopefully the OP can get back on their feet and get their own place again and not have to deal with that bat of a mother. Story 2: I think all parents have taken their kids candies/chocolates at some point, especially Halloween. The whole thing with the leprechaun is kind of funny and the OP should just run with it as long as they can. Story 3: OP should get out of this 'relationship' soon before it turns into an obsession to the bf... that seems likely to happen here. I get that opposites attract, but there is very too much different between the two of them. Story 4: I absolutely would've smacked that old lady back, 100%. The OP had legit cause to be concerned at first here. The old lady could've handled this so much better here, maybe saying something like: "I'm fine, sonny." or "I'm just bowing to God" or something, but she chose to slap him, multiple times it seems. Once would be bad enough, but multiple times is just asking for the favour to be returned here. I've said it before: religion brings out the worst in many people. Story 5: Simple communication could've prevented a lot of this. I can understand why the gf would be upset seeing a strange woman on the couch at their apartment, but if the OP just explained before hand, then i think most of this would've been handled much better. Wanting to break up can be a bit extreme, but i can see why she would be upset. I think calmer heads could prevail as well, but they both need some time here.

    I feel sorry for the Op. Do people of that religion not care when ppl are hurt, the old lady hit Op repeatedly but no-one seemed to care and were only mad that he interrupted. The wife also seems selfish, not care about her husbands pain and only about her reputation. I mean switch the slapping with something else like kicking and even without alot of strength it would still hurt.

  • @bunnycakes2305

    @bunnycakes2305

    @@Dartkitten I wouldn't really say it's that they don't care, but the only time I ever remember anyone touching another person during mass was when we all held hands and prayed or when we had to shake hands with our neighbors. Plus if you go to a Catholic Church, most people know you kneel with the leg closer to the pew before entering, same with exiting unless it's for communion. I can see why the OP would assume an old lady is falling though if he's never seen it. From my experience being raised Roman Catholic, the majority of people are hypocritical and don't actually practice what they preach and only care about their reputation.

My last GF broke up with me because i wasn't spending enough time with her and you want break up with your BF because he's spending too much time with you. Seriously, just be grateful that you have someone that cares about you and accept the good with the bad. I could make the same argument to the girl in the last story. Maybe it did look bad, but they were clearly sleeping in separate rooms. That makes it a little hard to have sex. Also, it's his house. until they're married she has no right whatsoever to tell him who he can or can't have over.

Pretty sure the first was cheating and I i practically caught the second in a lie regarding her receiving a STD. My current, is 100% about the love I give, and will reciprocate. What the first one I can't even text them without them saying it was overbearing. I would recommend him break up with her not her break up with him because he's 'creepy'. She's obviously going to make you feel very distant throughout the relationship in regardless of her being in the same bed you're still going to feel alone going to sleep. So at that point I asked why even have a certificate another if they wouldn't even let you touch them to Express love or appreciation?

    Story 3: He sounds like he actually loves you, but your annoyed at that piece of information, imagine getting angry about someone loving you, just tell him that you dont appreciate the pta and hell, he'll probably stop. People have different opinions and you have to live with that so dont cry about the little details.

    It honestly sounds like he doesn't think of her as a human, or that he doesn't show his personality to her. Men like that don't actually respect women. They treat them like a piece of expensive collectable. It's not just about him loving her, but that's all he does. No other conversation. And then continuously dismissed her boundaries when she's telling him she's uncomfortable. She's not human to him. Relationships like these are a nightmare to deal with because you feel insane, mainly because of people like you "he just wants to love you what's wrong with that" no one likes to be dismissed. Just because someone is "nice" doesn't mean they are actually a good person.

    @samalvarez8776 @samalvarez8776 OR he doesn't know how to talk with someone, and he can't help but wants to make sure she knows he still likes her. If he treats her like a "collectable", he would want more than one woman. The op never said they talked about boundaries AT ALL, and he just has opposing opinions (like a normal person)

    @Teilbin telling someone to stop because they are making you uncomfortable IS setting a boundary. What world do you live in? I'm outright telling you that men that act like this are huge red flags, and it is not seen as endearing unless the women is a huge narcissist then they love this type of attention. It's gross and gives "yes mi lady" vibes. He's not treating her like a human being, he's treating her like something to be held up on a pedistool. Women aren't aliens nor gods that need to be worshipped like this. It's gross and extremely creepy.

    In the first/title story the OP's mother is entitled. But I have no wonder if she's old enough to not only be working but engaged. Why is she und her fiancée living with the OP's family? Also what does the OP's father think about the OP's mother stealing the OP's food/stuff claiming it as hers?

    To meet the story with the boyfriend, letting his female friend sleep on the couch and to say he’s a jerk I think is a little extreme one and this woman drove to the bar and the boyfriends like no you can’t be driving in this condition and he’s drunk enough where he’s passing out on the floor and not even knowing why he’s there that’s not being a jerk I think that’s been a good friend and a good person so I had to say he is not a jerk

    Your response to someone treating someone like a borderline queen and the OP of that story getting mental issues because of it is really upsetting. All relationships always follow the same thing. Friendship Going out Getting together Starting a life together Arguements Divorce. The fact that you can hate easily in any way possible but someone being loving and kind is "annoying" and "treating someone like a plaything"? If i ever got with anyone and i did my best to care for them and they say stop, we're done. If I have to change myself for anyone it just means we're not meant to be together. Thats why I'm single. My fears are always valid when i get with a girl and she whines about the same thing only for me to realize that she hated being spoiled because she was cheating on me and didn't want the guilt. Love isn't shameful and everyone's love is different. If no person wants to understand, i think its time we just stopped dating and getting in relationships altogether.... Every person that loves unconditionally is afraid of losing their parter so they do the absolute best to love someone as best as they could without fail because most women nowadays are always distant in relationships unless the women is afraid of losing the relationship so she loves like a clingy person. Thats the whole point of relationships. Love is wrong and being distant is okay right? This entire section of the story pisses me off because the meaning of love is so warped that you almost always have to be something your partner wants and if you're a man, you have to change or else you're "annoying" or "obsessed" with someone you should feel confident being with and comfortable...

    I was in the opposite place. A fridge has always been communal property to my family. The homeowners usually stock it with some limits to what everyone can share and designated areas for school foods. My moms house usually ends up with food being stolen so we got a mini fridge for leftovers and things we definitely didn't want taken. We move in with his mom and I moderated how much I ate from their food because something seemed off about how they handled things. I literally stopped eating anything I didn't buy for months because of anxiety. His mom noticed so she assured me a little was OK. So if she made dinner, I politely took one serving. They buy pizza, I'd get 2 slices. My son was too little to eat with us and my husband would get 2 slices if they were available when he got home. Then sometimes if I was out of cheese (which I put in most meals) I'd use a little of theirs. After a few months she suddenly says she's irritated by how much food were eating and not paying them for it. And even threatened to have us pay half the grocery bill when we are already buying our own groceries for the 3 of us and mainly eat that. She literally began labeling things as not for us, and even divided the pantry so we'd have a designated area for our food and we wouldn't touch theirs at all. I would have been fine if she talked to us calmly, but she just brought it up out of the blue. And she does this all the time. She threw bills on us out of the blue as well and then claimed she could no longer handle babysitting our son because I would not rely on my mother more for babysitting. This would lead to me having to work less while still paying her half the utilities. The problem with my mom babysitting is if I had a 7-4 shift and my husband a 4-12, I had to get up at 545 to get my son ready to go to my mom's every day because my husband refused to take him and I thought it was ridiculous. He shouldn't have to be there all day if his dad didn't work all day as well. Idk if this was luck or not but I ended up having a major accident and my husband felt bad, but he had to send my son and I to live with my mom so we could both be cared for while he worked and he could only visit every so often. His mom watched our son on occasion but when I was well enough to come back I started getting anxiety about her watching him all day while I was home. (I could barely walk so caring for a toddler was not an option) At some point she had completely stopped caring for him. She doesn't even ask to see him or me, or contact us. We started living with my mom again as it was easier for my mental health and now my husband has come to live with us and she hasn't even asked about it. She knows he's gone for days at a time but doesn't even care.

Last story: Well, it's the guys couch and they were drunk and he keppt the friend safe as well as any pedestrians and other vehicles from a drunk driver. The girlfriend is over reacting.

    so story 3 i find interesting. So first yes he acts a bit strange. Second I dont think you love him, hell i dont think you like him. You hate the way he thinks you hate the way he acts if only things you have to say about him is negative then its your both the problem. At this point you stringing him along when you basicly came to understanding you dont like him or love him. its time to break up and move on.

    Ngl the guys in stories 3-5 care to much what others think. Story 3: let the church people glare. You did what was right. If they, and your girlfriend, didnt like it they can kick rocks Story 4: If he wants to do PDA then the OP just needs to leave. She obviously doesnt like him by how she is speaking. Story 5: if the gf is accusing OP so quickly or acting this radically then just drop her.
