Seriously, I have mental health issues and physical health issues. So if an entitled mother/father/Karen/Kevin says that I didn't have the rights to be in that handicap spot when I had the right credentials for me being in that spot then that's when I'll have the police involved and make sure that the individual is in prison. Seriously, there's more than one type of disabilities you filthy entitled mother! There's not just about you and your son having just a wheelchair and everything else.
I'm going to assume that young man got his maturity and politeness from his father and the mother probably hates him for it

It probably depends on the state and school district, but at least in New Jersey and New York City, high school teachers can get tenure, as lot of my teachers had it and were quick to let us know if the class got out of line, "I get paid whether you come and learn or not......and can't be fired"
congrats on 1mil! deserved it
1M subs! Congrats AITJ!
im an amithejerk fan and always will be
If I remember correctly, Tenure doesn't mean they can't fire someone, it just means it's a hassle to do it. It basically means this if i'm remembering correctly: In order to fire someone with tenure you essentially need to have a trial with their peers as witnesses, you also need to provide evidence and statements supporting the idea that this individual should be fired, and then they get to make their case as to why they shouldn't be, it is then put to a vote that if passed means the person will be fired, but they can also basically try to get a retrial done. Basically it's just easier not to fire them because of all the steps you need to go through to get it done.
Congrats on the million subscribers

Public schools, especially with a stong union, often negotiate tenure into teacher contracts. The hardest part is getting past the minimum yesrs required to acheve tenure.
For the first story. As someone who has a disability who also feels it is an invisible disability (a physical one that I think I am able to somewhat hide) who more likely than not can get one. What this lady did irritates me. Personally I park as close as I can and basically use a cart as a walker.

Sometimes, I wish we would get rid of it.
When I was in 7th grade. We had an all boys class in English. This was an experiment at our junior high school. Our English teacher told us there was no way she's going to try and teach 35 7th grade boys English. So instead of getting taught English she taught us about basic car repair all driver's license requirements and how to get our drivers permit. Our class was never taught any English lessons that year. Of course us boys were happy to learn about cars and such as long as we didn't have to study boring English lessons.
I had to walk with crutches for several years from he ages of 11 to 19 (had an operation at 14 meniscus displacement) my last accident at 19. I still have scars and get weary when going downstairs. My father had the same operation 2 years later and my brother 5 years after I did. It has been almost 20 years and I still worry about playing soccer (I play goalie so kneeling is a thing), swimming and stairs. My dad never walked normal after his surgery so now he is elderly and disabled we both use the handicapped parking spot (I don't drive) I know the looks I get, but I know my knee is unpredictable in spite of me having excercised a bit more to strenghten it and before they can say anything my dad gets a scooter. So yeah. I know what the kid feels.
As a 25 year old with fibromyalgia I often look like I'm fine even when I'm in agony and feel weird in public like if i am shopping and need to sit on the floor to rest my legs because I get out of breath from being in pain all the time I got a lot of odd looks since I'm young and look well and have a hard time gaslighting myself even though I've had to ask my GP for painkillers so I can get though the day and have considered talking about a walking stick for when I get overwhelmed
NEVER trust ANYONE to transfer a vehicle. Insist on going with the buyer to the DMV. States should make that mandatory.
Yeah, Handcapped can happen as young as being a toddler with Scoliosis, High Dependancy Autism, and other kind of stuff that will make it harder for people, its not like something a case of "Oh, you're too young/old to have [Insert Disabiltiy/Illness Here]" Like its not a age limit thing.
Okay, this is just what the kid's voice sounded like in the first story to me, Mickey Mouse.
*Story 1:* Who the hell is this entitled karen to decide who's disabled enough to park in a handicap parking spot? You'd think a handicap placard would've been enough. It usually shows what looks like a person riding a wheelchair, and generally hangs up on the rear-view mirror of a car.
I love his Karen voice! This channel's videos are always so entertaining!
entitled mama will probably make her poor kid wear braces on his legs until he's 30. or curse him out for healing, so she has to park like normal folks. if i were the cop i'd have gotten all her identification, then demanded her medical certification for the FULL report.
Why does the kid in the first story sound like Mickey Mouse?😂😂😂

to make him innocent in this?
I don't think so I think he finally got his Just Desserts or in this case Justice dessert pun intended
I made my dad keep a cane in his car, our office, and his home.
The kid wearing braces on his legs could just be dropped off at the door and picked up at the door of the store. I used to do that all the time with my spouse. He had a placard for his car but we didn't have two. One time I parked in an empty parking lot for a short time and the police were out there when we came out trying to ticket me in the disabled spot. Didn't have the placard but did have wheel chair I was pushing and oxygen tanks I was carrying so I think they got the point. Not sure if someone called them or they were just bored and driving around.
The voice for the kid of the first story seems he came out from South Park
When you mimicked the voice of the kid you sounded like Mikey mouse 😂😂
How many times I've heard this, especially when it's my husband. We've had angry people grab the handles of his wheelchair and try to tip him out to 'prove' that he's faking it. It can also occur for people who have heart and lung problems, ie hidden disabilities.
First I'm like "Bearded dragon salad....." Ohhh a salad for the bearded dragon lmfao
The car scam is really really common in both the US and the UK (and probably elsewhere) here in the UK they will fill the tank and run before transferring ownership then they get a free full tank and you get a visit from the police holding a bill.
@damionlee7658
Жыл бұрын
Given that in the UK the seller is 100% responsible for transfer of the registered keeper information (ownership details are not actually stored), there is no way for the buyer to prevent the transfer paperwork going through, as per the story. If you are suggesting that the buyer fills up and makes off before the paperwork transfers through the DVLA (given that it takes a couple of weeks), sure, but they left you with signed evidence of the transfer of registered keeper; which includes name and address details that you should have confirmed with their ID/license. That combined with the CCTV that virtually all forecourts run, means they're really isn't anything to be concerned about... Providing you take the appropriate steps when selling a vehicle.
@Falney
Жыл бұрын
@@damionlee7658 just because it's easy to find the new owner, doesn't stop them from trying their luck. Stupid people exist. I know it happens first hand. When I was 17 my mum sold her old car to a banger racer. At first the guy said there was no need to fill in and sign the papers since it was just going to be used off road, but she insisted. About 2hours after he drove off with the car, the police were at the door.
@damionlee7658

@@Falney so from a single instance, you have extrapolated that this scam is "Really really common" in the UK. Perhaps our understanding of "Really really common" is different... But I suspect it is more a case of hyperbole. People stealing fuel is quite common. But anybody with any sense, uses a stolen or clone vehicle; not one where they have given their name and address to somebody. Now like I said, sure that could happen, but to claim it is a "Really really common" scam in the UK is stuff and nonsense.

The title of the car should have been transferred. So it would have the same number plate, just the owner's name and address details would be different. The guy who bought, didn't complete his side of the process, which led to the car not seen as sold from a legal point of view

@@767Shadow I guess it's different in different places but, where I live, the plate CAN go with the car, but the seller is running the risk of exactly what happened here. To be safe, it's best to have the buyer take a bill of sale/signed portion of seller's registration to the DMV, register the vehicle and get their own plates. Then they can bring both new registration and new plates back to pick up the vehicle. There's no way to be sure a buyer will register the vehicle. story number 1 is like: this woman just plain out says "you CAN'T be disabled" i cannot believe that she even said that, or had the urge to think it.
why does the kid in the first story sound like Mikey mouse
The second story is why there needs to be improvements to the laws regarding acquisition and sale title transfer of liability. Always fill out the transfer of ownership/liability when selling or even when donating your car, as car donation centers are known to lie and claim they fill take care of all the paperwork, yet they don’t. It is illegal to claim they will take care of all the paperwork in California, as the transfer of liability title still needs to be filled out by the former owner and sent to the DMV within 5 days (used to be 7). I knew someone who donated her car, and the NPO cheated her on the KBB value and never filled out any paperwork. She got a notice from her insurance that they weren’t covering the car anymore, and she contacted the DMV only to find out the car was still in her name months after selling it. The DMV told her the NPO shouldn’t have claimed to “take care of all paperwork”. She had it filled out and the title taken out to her name. It didn’t end there. She got tons of parking tickets many more months later, and after checking with the DMV they assured her that the car was no longer hers long before the date of the first parking ticket. The parking bureau dismissed her tickets, but the stupid tow company billed her for towing, impound, and storage fees. After explaining the situation to them in full, they said “We’ll take care of it.” They sent her to collections. She was in a screaming match with some jerk collection agent, the lousy car donation NPO refused to help her with that mess, so she had to get a lawyer to straighten it all out. TL/DR: I knew a lady who donated her car but didn’t fill out the transfer of liability paperwork l. Car was in her name for months, she had found out, DMV told her to fill out paperwork because car donation NPO wasn’t supposed to tell her “We take care of all paperwork”. Lady filled out transfer of liability title but then many more months later is hit with parking tickets, gets them dismissed due to none of them applying to her as she was not legal owner anymore. Tow company tried to hit her with towing, storage, and impound fees and then after she proved to them she wasn’t liable for that they sent her to collections. Car donation NPO refused to help, she had to get a lawyer.
You are supposed to take your plate off the car.

Last story I wonder how bad the sister was at the wedding Probably trying to snap photos of herself while the bride was walking down the aisle
That kid was sweet yes, but that voice 💀
I get hassled all the time when I use disabled parking. While I have an invisible disability, I live with chronic, debilitating pain 24/7 I am on so much pain medication that if anyone even tried to take the doses I take, they as well as about 15 other people would literally drop dead from an overdose. I can walk, but I use my cart as a sort of balance thing to take some of the load of my legs. Total hip and knee replacement. If I am having a good day, I won't use a spot as long as its not too far away. By the time I am done, I am usually in agony at this point. People need to realize that not all disabilities are overtly apparent and should mind their own bloody business. This is why I am a misanthropic individual, people are horrible, I hate most of them. But I'm not a bitch about it. I just do my thing, I'm polite and kind, but just stay out of my space and business, please.
Story one’s kid sounded like Micky Mouse
Story #1. I can guarantee that the mother would go ballistic if someone said the same thing as she did. Given that you can't see her sons disability. So you'd think that she'd have some perspective about hidden disabilities. Story #2. Idk how the tickets and infractions didn't reflect upon his licence, given thats how your driving record is recorded. So idk how this guy wasn't arrested or still had a licence. Doubt they were paying for insurance. So if his licence was suspended with no insurance. The car would've been towed. Last Story. You can dictate what you do and don't want with anything regarding your wedding and anything related to it. If someone doesn't like it. Too bad

typical, there's two things a karen will not want to hear/do: one is being told "no" and other is "minding your own business", and I feel so sorry for the kid cause it sounds like his own mother is using him as an excuse to claim a handicap spot just so she don't have walk as far, which is so not right in my opinion, and that the kid is saying that he can walk that far just fine with his braces, which is great that he's able to, and yeah that karen should learn being disabled (mentally and/or physically)(whether temporary or permanent), is never a choice, ever!
1m great job
Last story simply doesn't ring true in my mind. OP kept talking about how he couldn't be fired because he was tenured, even though the education board had wanted to be rid of him for a long time. Given the claims made (leaving students unattended during dangerous experiments, giving dangerous directions etc), evidence of such incompetence and negligence absolutely would have been grounds to fire him. The whole story revolves around the idea that tenure means they can't be fired, and that is not now, and never has been true.

For the first story, the EM went into the store before OP. Did she have a handicap placard? Her son said he had braces for his legs but was getting better. My oldest sister had to wear a leg brace for a while but maybe dice it wasn't permanent or long term thing we never got a placard. Was the EM just upset that the OP have a more invisible handicap then her son so she didn't deserve it like her son did?
Do people not realize just how cringey it is to gatekeep handicap-ness? If my car has a government or state issued placard that says I'm legally handicapped or disabled, doesn't make me any less entitled to a parking spot then anyone else. So, if the elderly could just shut up about young people not looking disabled enough, that'd be great.
I understand there are issues that are considered disabled but are a little iffy. However in those cases deal with the legislature, don’t harass the people legitimately using them.
