Great vid that I have not seen covered before. I like the board upside down to get through surf break

Cool idea to paddle on the hull of the board, foil in front. If my board is not too slippy I'll give it a try next time. My mast is long and when the water is not calm, I often struggle to get enough depth pushing my gear while walking. Your way I will be able to swim as soon as possible.

Cool idea, but perhaps slightly dangerous in heavy surf? whitewater could push that foil right into your head or shoulder

@@robertco7 that's a good point it could be dangerous but I like the idea unless the surf is totally crazy. Also wearing a helmet isn't a bad idea even if it doesn't look "cool" lol

My Naish doesn't have a handle on the bottom. Only on the top and it's not centred front to back. The board tilts backward and wants to drap on the ground. Any tips?

Great vid. Now I’d like too see the next level of waist to shoulder high shore break, as well as taking a spill in the impact zone and getting out. The surf conditions for this demonstration were just a little to close to flat water........😉

I think that's appropriate for a zero to hero video series that's targeted for beginners. I'm a beginner and I know I wouldn't want to go out and surf any rougher than what he shows here and ideally I only like to go out on flat water to learn.

I agree and wear a helmet, this is not a beginner sport to go out shooting at the hip half naked! Thanks for the vid, and info is good info, always use your brain when doing anything in life.

Your shore brake is a micro shore brake. You have no current due to wind and tides. Your wind is rather constant laminar wind. Come visit Netherlands: tides, current, shore brake, very gusty wind and mega chop in between waves.

I got the same board 4.6" and I think its 69L, I'm also around 160, actually 155. I'm wondering if he is able to stand in the board without it sinking too much. He looks like a bigger guy than me, more masculine, I'm guessing 180 lbs and he has no problems standing or kneeling without the board sinking any.
