I'm 55 years old, and after 20 years of not having a reason to listen music anymore I came across The Warning and for the las 5 years I've been mesmesized by this band, they have 50+ original songs and I haven't heard any bad song, and I won't lie to you guys, The best Warning's song is the last one you listen, every time they just hit you with a great song, and if you dive into their covers it will be the same, as they always say, You have been warned..... The Warning is what got me to listen to music after almost 20 years of bubble gum bullcrap that kept me away all together. Thank God I found them.

At this time they were just recording covers to pass on to friends and relatives to show their progress, and were only receiving dozens of upvotes per video. A few weeks after this was posted they went on a family vacation and when they returned they found out the video had gone viral, and they started getting interview requests. They'd already been very ambitious in their training, to the point where they asked Ale's bass teacher Pablo Gonzalez (of Mexican pop band Los Claxons, and a friend of their father) to show them how to be a band, how to write songs and how to record their music, but with this unexpected success they started dreaming of attending the Berklee School of Music in Boston for professional training. They started fundraising, and had some of the songs they wrote as homework assignments for Pablo professionally mixed and released as an iTunes EP (2015 - Escape the Mind). The guy running their fundraiser asked donors to write to American TV shows asking to let them to appear so they could fundraise, and when the Ellen Show replied they were gifted the full value of their Berklee scholarships ($30k) courtesy of Target. Using the money they'd already collected for expenses they were able to attend Berklee in the summer of 2015. Prior to being accepted they had to provide some professional demos of their performances, which is why they recorded a concert at their school (Liceo de Monterrey) with donated video and audio services provided by two local businesses. The remaining songs they'd written for Pablo became the starting point of their first album (2017 - XXI Century Blood) which was recorded by more fundraising, as was their second album (2018 - Queen of the Murder Scene). Their birthdays are all clustered at the start of the year, and the oldest Dany was born in 2000, so their ages are easy to figure by remembering Pau and Ale are 2 and 5 years younger. So in 2023 they are 23, 21 and 18.

It’s a rabbit hole you never wanna leave , these girls are bringing rock back ! They are flying the rock n roll flag high and proud for the new generation!

They were that good at that point, because Dany (guitarist) and Pau (drummer) had already been playing for six years! Ale (bassist) had been playing for two.

Their early covers may be where they cut their teeth, but they now have an Ep and three full Albums of original material that will blow you away... And Live is where The Warning really shines!!! *You Have Been Warned!!!*

Ages 14, 12 and 9. We always love seeing new people discover them. We'll be right there with you as far as you want to take this ride.

Enjoy the ride it's a blast. I should say the most impressive thing about these ladies is how genuine and humble they are. Such an amazing story in which I believe they are exceptional due to hard work and commitment to learning their trade. They wrote a concept album in their teens which is really good and it was their second LP. Every song they've written is good they don't have a bad song. For me I was like this is my favorite song after hearing every song it's crazy after a while I would say my favorite is the last one I heard. Great reaction you two are fun.

Great reaction AJ and Vicki! The Villarreal Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards. Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing. Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020. They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track! The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old. Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 23, 21 and 18 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #46 original songs. I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR. Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans. 🗣 Thank you for sharing your reaction! They also have a few songs that feature the piano. Two from the Dakota Bar are Black Holes and Show Me the Light. Pau wrote Black Holes at 13 after reading a newspaper article. It's a song about addiction that has moved many adults to tears. Dany is a powerful lead but Pau with a piano can rip one's heart out.

I suppose you’d first have to review some of their early covers. Then would be the Escape the Mind EP including some of their earliest shows like at their school Liceo de Monterrey. Then on to XXI Century Blood LP and a lot prefer the Dakota Bar show or maybe Agua Fría. Then Queen of the Murder Scene LP where the Lunario show is their first album performance live. QoTMS is a concept album so they perform the show in order to tell the story. Some/many TW fans prefer the Foro DiDi show. Then on to the Error LP where Teatro Metropolitan is the end all, be all performance. They also released 2 other singes that don’t appear on any LP which are Narcisista and More in addition to ES which you have already covered. The Mayday EP is also in there but that is covered by the Error LP.

You must react to their cover of "Back in Black" from the same set. It's with Paulina (the drummer) singing and it's so funny because it says so much about her personality. She has always been very ourgoing to say the least and was almost as good of a drummer as a preteen than she is now. The other two sisters had a steeper learning curve. I've been following them on KZread for about ten years. First because they were kind of a novelty thing with an awesome drummer, now because they are one of the most promising rock acts anywhere in the world.

I didn’t see much else until I wanted to show someone that video in 2014, then I saw some of what had happened in the 2 years and was just flabbergasted! Enter Sandman went viral, I was hooked and have really enjoyed watching them grow to what they are now! World class Rock Stars! I’m 71 now, I was fortunate to be able to see them live earlier this year in the UK when they came here with Muse. To say it was a once in a life experience was an understatement, it was just unbelievably amazing! I just hope I’m about long enough to see them again a few times 😂! In 2017 said they did want to be known as a cover band so asked fans to please stop asking. Last cover they did was Metallica's Atlas Rise. I saw a couple interviews where Pau and Ale were mad at Dany when they shot this video. They practiced very hard for 2 days before the video and Dany just sat there practicing her angry James Hettfield face.

Your reaction brings back memories of when I discovered this band just a little over a year ago at Summerfest. Couldn't wait to get home and start my way down the rabbit hole. Stayed up until 3 in the morning digging deeper and realized that I'd only scratched the surface. Not sure where you're headed next, but I hope their performance of Muse's Hysteria at Liceo de Monterrey Redwood (the school they attended when they were young and where they learned English) and their OMV of XXI Century Blood are on the list. I remember first seeing this in 2015 or 2016 and thinking... dam these girls have some talent, then moving and life, i just kind of forgot about them. it wasnt till the pandemic I found them again and seeing how much they had matured had me hooked! and now they are my second favorite band after Chris Cornell and just ahead of Ozzy, ACDC and Corey Taylor. 🤘⚡
