The trauma I experienced wasn’t as grave as let’s say being SA’d but you are so right I was definitely more of a 3 in my childhood and youth. Great work 🎉

A fourth, less discussed, response to trauma is called fawning, or people-pleasing. The fawn response is a coping mechanism in which individuals develop people-pleasing behaviors to avoid conflict, pacify their abusers, and create a sense of safety. So for 9s people pleasing could be a strong childhood trauma response.

Yup sure can. Ironically, people are rarely "pleased" with so called people pleasers. There almost needs to be a better name for this kind of "hiding."

i'm a 9w8 and definitely didn't have the best childhood. didn't grow up with a father cause he sucked and we actively had to stay away from where that person was living, and we moved places a lot (over 10 times). my mom is unstable and not the most accepting person. and there's a lot more, I won't get into detail, so yeah, not great. however I can't relate to getting into relationships that are unhealthy. I'm very introverted and the moment someone crosses my boundaries... I just leave. plus I'm aroace so I don't get into relationships at all :p (yeah ik it can be applied to friendships too but I don't like having a huge friend circle either so my point still stands) it's interesting, sometimes I really don't act like a usual 9. it's like instead of trying to *make* peace with others, I instead just push them and their chaos away, out of my life, which can result in me being rude fairly often? maybe im not even a 9 tho cause i do relate a lot to 4. i also relate to a bit of 5 and 6 and 7 and 8 and- idk maybe its all just the autism (i am autistic so yeah thats probably 90% of my problems tbh)
