Enneagram type 6 in love:
6's desire to feel secure and seek to gain that security through their loyalty in relationships. They are good at working toward building strong, lasting, and stable relationships and value trustworthiness, although they can often struggle to trust others and loved ones at first.
6's when not in a healthy state, may project their own feelings (both positive and negative) onto others. Clear statement of your position
They identify problem areas -- don't deny them.
In relationships they are known for making balanced, thought-out decisions, they are dedicated to working through the hard stuff, and unwavering loyalty. However, they can bother some types romantically because they can take a long time to make decisions and even avoid them (as they go back and forth in their heads), and they have a hard time letting go of unhealthy relationships,
They work best with those who show appreciation for them and their loyalty, who remain calm, who are positive focused, not afraid of owning the problems in the relationship, and trustworthy.------

This video is so well done! All of the information is spot on. The number one thing for me in all of my relationships as a 6 are for people to be honest and let their actions match up with their words. I dont fully trust anyone until I see congruency. Also it does take me a while to bring up issues because I want to be sure that I am seeing the situation clearly and I don't want to see like a worrywart that always brings up issues so I analyze a problem to make sure it is actually a relevant problem. After I have done all that and someone dismisses my concerns it really hurts. I had a friend do this to me and our friendship has never been the same. I honestly dont even consider them a true friend at this point but for politeness sake still prefer to them and that when speaking about them. People who are my true friends are always there for me in word and deed and I truly appreciate them for that!

fashionforwarddd that makes a lot of sense. Loyalists appreciate care, trustworthiness, and loyalty in others (and I think that’s a wonderful thing). Thank you for giving us more insight as I love to understand people’s experiences and stories of being the different numbers. :)

Could a 4w5 going through stuff, difficulty and difficult-ly end up looking like a 6w5?
Conversly.. Could a 6w5 look like a 4w5 too?
My question is how do you get through to a 6 who's paranoid distrustful allegations are untrue? It's hard for me to stay centered in compassion when my PARTNER is distrustful and accuses me of untrue things and rebuttals my truth with "Well, you would just ...(fill in the blank with thoughts, motivations, feelings that do not describe my actual thoughts, motivations, and feelings)." Thank you for your time and efforts ❤😊.
