Engwe M20 - KEEP AWAY. Im done and I officially hate this bike. One year and it still doesn't work

This is the final video of this series. Its been over a year and it still does not work. Engwe support has been helpful and responsive but unable to completely fix the issue. At this point I have lost all trust in this bike and even if it does work I cannot ride and trust that it wont leave me stranded.
We had to buy new e-bikes since this one does not work.
You can see in this video that it works for a second until there is a load on the motor then it reverts to the E022 code.

E030 Error Code
7/5/2023
Diagnosed as Hall Sensor Issue. New one shipped out
7/18/2023
I received the part this afternoon and replaced it on my M20. Now Im receiving a E024 Hall Sensor Anomaly error. I tripled checked the connection from the controller to the hub motor and its firmly connected and screwed together. What next?
7/20/2023
After a coulpe days of troubleshooting the support thinks its a controller issue so a new one is sent out
8/15/2023
So we finally got around to replacing the controller and we have the exact same 030 errors before.
8/23/2023
Controller doesnt fix the issue so they sent out a new hub motor
9/6/2023
New hub motor fixed the problem temporarily

Not related or a hardware problem. Son set the parental code so we are completely locked out of the bike and cannot use it. The solution is to buy a new display.
From Engwe:
Yes, but currently this display is only available in China and it will take about 15-25 days to be delivered.
10/15/2023
New Display received and installed. Bike works again but its winter here so it goes into heated/dry garage for the winter
4/13/2024
Took bike out of storage:
We just brought our M20 out of storage and its showing and E022 code and will not work. Im beginning to think we have a lemon. This bike has been broken more than its been working. I know we bought it less than a year ago so what can we do to get this swapped out for a new one. Im afraid if we get this E022 fixed it will just come back in the future.
4/22/2024
Diagnoed as a throttle issues New throttle sent out
5/1/2024
New throttle received and installed. No fix. Still errors
5/8/2024
Diagnosed as controller issue. New controller sent out. Turns out after 4 weeks the controller was lost in transit so they sent another. Its been 2 months to get the new controller
6/22/2024
New Controller received and installed. Same errors.
6/24/2024 - They asked me to pull the hall sensor wire and the error still persists even with it disconnected.

Sorry to hear that, man. They should just send you a newer version of it at this point.

Wow, what a mess. I've recently had to replace the throttle and battery balancer on mine, but that's after 1500+ mines, it worked perfectly for the first year. I'd be pissed off too if I were you, you've practically rebuilt the whole bike. I agree, they should just send you the new 2.0 version for your troubles. You should send them a link to this video. And yeah their tech support, while pretty good compared to a lot of Chinese companies, is frustrating. In my case, I send them an email stating I needed a new throttle, explaining in excruciating detail that the error code came up when I turned the handlebars to the left and went away when I turned it to the right (an obvious fault in the throttle cable), and included pictures. Nope, not good enough, they wanted a video and made me go through a trouble shooting procedure to prove what I already knew, that the throttle cable had a fault. By the time they had their engineer confirm that the throttle was bad and gave me the ridiculous price of $60 to replace it, I'd already bought one on Amazon for The thing is, I doubt the experience would be much better with any Chinese company, so my advice to anyone looking to get one of these Chinese bikes is to be good at troubleshooting and not be afraid to roll up your sleeves and fix it yourself. Oh yeah, one more comment on the replacement throttle. Engwe does their wiring very unconventionally. The male lead is on the controller, and the female lead is on the throttle. The throttle I bought had a male lead, so I had to make an adapter, and then I found out that Engwe has the signal and ground wires crossed, so I had to cross them on the adapter I made to make it work. No doubt this is to force people to buy their own over-priced replacement part.

I have same error. I disassembled only one of my front lights, and found corrosion on the tiny pcb. Error went away after disconnecting it. Good luck!
