When i listen to this song on the album, i thought it was a story and there was conversation, the i feel there was war, separated lover and sacrifice. Turn out it was mostly true. I barely know japanese at the time.

"No one can say for certain if Maoh's actions were correct or incorrect, as well as there being many ways to interpret the ending according to each person's moral compass and values." Both answers are correct and incorrect. I, for one, would side with Maoh. The village will fail, but then it was destined to fail if they had to sacrifice to a demon to keep it prosperous. The entirety of the Legends of Rhaplanca stories are similar to this; I'd suggest checking them out either via the songs or the ar tonelico wikia.
