English muffins from scratch using our bread machine. Soft and perfect recipe.

We are doing a pantry challenge right now and we needed English muffins as part of our dinner. We have an awesome recipe that uses a bread machine, but of course you can use a bowl instead.
English Muffin Recipe
1c. warm milk
3T. melted butter
1 egg room temp is best but not necessary
1/2t. salt
1T. sugar
3 1/3c. bread or all purpose flour
2t. yeast
cornmeal to dust your dough before you cook it in the pan.
Mix all ingredients in your bread machine and run the rough cycle. If you prefer to use a bowl add warm milk, sugar and yeast to the bowl. Let is sit until the yeast starts to bubble. Add all other ingredients to the bowl and mix until incorporated. Knead until it is a good strong dough (3-5 minutes). Let it rest in the bowl about 45 minutes.
For either dough once it has doubled in size you will follow the same instructions.
Sprinkle your work surface with flour, roll your dough to about 1/2 inch thick. Cut out circles using a cookie cutter, cup or even a tuna can will work.
Dust the dough with cornmeal and lay out on a parchment lined cookie sheet for 30 minutes. Don't forget to cut the parchment paper into smaller squares so it is easier to lift.
Heat up a cast iron skillet, pan or flat top grill until hot.
Add your English muffins to the pan and cook about 7-10 minutes per side. Don't get the heat too hot or they will burn. Cook until they are cooked through. If you are worried about the middle not being fully cooked place them in a 375 degree oven for about 8-10 minutes.
These are awesome toasted with some jelly or made into a breakfast sandwich with an egg like we did.
Store in a bread bag, beeswax wrap or ziplock.
The best price on many of our pantry staples is Azure Standard. We love their apple juice cranberries, chocolate chips, oats, molasses, flour and just about anything we have purchased. www.azurestandard.com/?a_aid=...

Thank so much. My husband loves English muffins. I haven’t had a bread machine very long. Bread is so expensive now, well, everything is. Anyway I also looking for a copy cat Oroweat Oat nut bread. Love it but it’s just too much now at the store. I really enjoy your channel. I sure hope those cute baskets sell. They’re really nice. Lord bless.❤✝️

Looks so good! I can't wait to try this myself! I lost count how many times i have made your Naan bread recipe. I cook up a batch and then freeze some but they never last long coz they are so good. I've been experimenting by adding scallions, finely chopped jalapeno, garlic and herbs. My bread machine is getting quite the workout! LOL Keep the recipes/videos coming! God bless you all !!

I’ve only ever had one English muffin and it was from the grocery store. Didn’t really care for it. I might try these. They are beautiful by the way.

Looks good. A fresh Eng Muffin with an egg and all smothered with Country Sausage Gravy! It’s where my brain went the minute I saw what you were making. Eons ago there was a product - forget name - it was a powder but covered like a Pan Stick! No breakouts. Sorry can’t be more help.

I am hoping to try these english muffins tomorrow, but I will have to try with AP flour. Pray for me LOL. Also, I use cetaphil redness moisturizer. I had no idea it was an actual foundation. It is like a tinted moisturizer but covers my redness so great. Never causes any irritation.

You should be fine with all purpose. I’m totally looking up your suggestion now. I already use the lotion they have that’s got no scent. Thanks for the suggestion!
