"because it's iced" famous last words
It is not English tea if it’s iced, you can’t call it English tea unless it’s actually tea

The tea is called “English breakfast”, not how the English drink their tea.

You can get that tea kettle from crate and barrel
I really love tea
As a brit this is not British tea there's nothing British about this (Tea is made in England the exact same way it is in the rest of the UK) nobody makes it like that put the teabag in the cup poor in boiling water add the milk squeeze the teabag with the spoon to get it perfect then you can choose to add sugar or not to you can also very the strength of the tea and each teaspoon of the sugar regulates the sweetness to make it any other way is a war crime and will cause a riot

I recently learned that an entire country has been making tea incorrectly. I watched a video showing the same method most Brits use to make a cup of tea, often using a styrofoam cup - I should note, they were squeezing the tea bag instead of letting it steep properly. However, there’s a right way to make it, which involves letting it steep, minus the ice (I don’t use ice). Interestingly, a British scientist conducted this research. Here’s the method: use a mug, preferably with loose leaf tea, although a tea bag, like PG Tips, works fine. The most important step is to let it steep for a recommended 5 minutes. Add your accoutrements milk and sugar to taste which I do. If any Brits where do do that squeeze bag technique and say it’s better well I would just have them try my tea and end the debate.
This is a crime against tea.
It’s not English, we have tea hot not cold, and we don’t usually drink black tea we drink a lovely milky tea
Look, if this is what you like to drink, you do you. But this isn’t how English or Irish tea is prepared. For us, we just put a teabag into a mug, pour boiling water into it, stir it and wait for the tea to infuse till it’s strong (you can also just keep stirring for the tea to infuse faster), then add optionally add sugar and stir, and put milk into the tea until it’s at drinking temperature. There’s nothing complicated about it. A cup of tea takes me a minute to a minute and a half to make, and we use any brand or blend of breakfast or afternoon tea (English or Irish) in a bag, and then there’s just no fuss. It’s a teabag and boiling water. At my house, we like to prepare a pot of tea after dinner, bring out the biscuits and chat or watch the news. I also like to have a cup for my breakfast and my lunch (if I’m at home), and maybe have a cup just to enjoy during the day when I’m craving that GOODNESS

Out of curiosity, why double the tea if it's iced?

Nothing British about this lad
You fucked it mate, dump it out and try again.
3 minutes is too short. Icing it causes a major loss in the defining characteristics of this blend. I love iced tea… but you ruin this blend by icing it.
😂😂😂😂😂 sorry not English
Sorry, but if you want a propa cuppa there’s no need for all this fancy stuff and measurements. Put the kettle on, chuck a tea bag in. Pour a bit of milk in and take it out when it’s the right colour. Done
