For the most part it's a good implementation to the game, but calling for handballs like the one against Jamaica vs Brazil is just plain sight cheating/ retardation

Thoroughly enjoying womens world cup ! The women could teach the men on fair play and how to not role around on the ground looking for frees and penalties which def makes for a better game.

England was not ready to lose to its neighbor. Late goal by Scotland could help in goal differential later. Fair result. Both the men and ladies win on the same day ! 😎

Was really surprised at how good this game was.

As far as I can tell VAR is there so that the prefered favorites can get a penalty kick to decide the games that are close. If I was coaching I'd tell my teams to kick at the arms in the box. Don't even worry about being on goal, jut kick hard and fast at any opposing player in the box and then raise your hands calling for a hand ball.

@@scotlandball3542 Have you looked at the New rules regarding the use of VAR? Any arms which obstruct the flight of the ball in an unnatural position regardless of intent which are inside the box is a penalty. That is a fact. I agree it is harsh. But that is the rules. End of debate.

Anonymous C Blocked an attacking opportunity, so it definitely was a penalty. If it happened to you and it wasn’t given you’d be furious, so don’t let bias dictate the rules.

Daily Banter She has her arm out to keep balanced not to stop the cross so it shouldn’t have been a penalty. If anybody kicks the ball at the defenders arm in the box it’s a penalty these days the game is ruined by var. Scotland will get out the group I have faith in Shelley Kerr and her team

if you are accurate enough to purposely hit someone’s arm then you are accurate enough to just shoot on goal or make the pass you were trying to make. nobody would ever aim for someone’s arm, that’s ridiculous reasoning

I'm English but that penalty was unfair. That wasn't intentional. This is a prime example of why sports needs to go back to 'if the referee didn't see it, it didn't happen.
