part one
This time I venture off to England Creek remote bush camp in the D'aguilar National Park in Queensland Australia.
All up it's about a 27 km round trip.
mostly downhill going in. Which means all uphill out. took me 4.5 hours to walk out with a heavy pack.
Not too difficult, just long.
PS: very happy and slept well on the Naturehike mattress. but remember! here in Queensland, I don't need a thermal-rated mattress.

Nice video! I was there last weekend and intended to walk up the creek like you did but there was too much water. It's a beautiful walk and camping spot (and met a few nice people at the camp site). I highly recommend it.

@@GizmosBushEscapes oh really, no one but myself and a friend there last night. But yeah - bloody cold. Pre dawn was freezing, calm and misty. Not sure I’d camp there again in winter. Northbrook next maybe.

Hi Gizmo, really interesting. I did a bit of joyners creek road but was only prepared for a day hike on account of my original plan of doing Greenes Falls fell through as it is closed currently. I plan to do the overnight camp at England creed bush camp after doing 4km of it today and watching your video. Also didn't want to venture out of the rain forrest of joyners creek considering the fire danger. Did you upload part 2, can't find it on your channel? Cheers

Hey. Can I confirm that it was the Aquila loop that you did? And did you do it clockwise or anti-clockwise? Really keen to do this hike! :)

I've done both directions . anti clockwise is a little harder as after the camp its all uphill.but saying that ..clockwise is uphill towards the end only steeper...and depends which camp you choose to stay at too. The clockwise entrance is just about 50 metres south of maiala carpark. Joiners Ridge Rd. Or anti clockwise further north via Lawton Rd. Has very small carpark here.

@@GizmosBushEscapes Hi. Thank you so much for a wonderful and detailed response. I appreciate this so so much! I think we will go with the clockwise direction and make it a bit easier for ourselves on day two. Out of the two campsites which one would you recommend the most and are they both approx. midway? I'm struggling to find a good quality map which makes it clear. Thanks again.

@@jasminelw5797 it depends on what water you bring with you.there is no water at Mountain camp-site but it is my favourite and has a walk to the lookout. There is tank water about 500 metres from camp-site. Thats is if it has water on it. It was empty last I was there. England Creek is on the creek and you have an endless supply of filterable water. Creek shouldn't be dry at the moment.but it is on the main track and not as secluded.the Creek is nice for a cool down though.hope you have fun as they both are really nice camp spots.

@@GizmosBushEscapes Great to hear!!! I think we might try stay at the creek so that we have a chance to cool down. Thank you so much for all the help and advice. Really appreciate it. :)
