G'day everyone.
Gizmo here. that's a nickname that just stuck some how.
I work fulltime but as like most of us would much prefer doing what I love most.
If only I got paid for doing that.
I think we all have that dream ?
I make videos as often as I can to share my adventures.
if i can show how to make or repair i sometimes show this also
cheers Gizmo

I like to lightly coat cotton pads, balls, dental cotton plugs, etc. in paraffin lamp oil then dip them in paraffin wax to seal the oil in and extend the burn time.
Sounds like a good idea 💡
👍 .superb.
Cheers mate.
Great spot. I was there last winter for 2 nights. Zero degrees. Christie's loop 8k is awesome and up and down Glen Rock with amazing views. Steeeep though. It wasn't the smartest decision just a few months after shoulder surgery 😬 Point Pure is a spot for a future camp, but a long walk and climb with a pack on. Crows Nest is another spot to try.
sounds good
Great timing, I'm planning to stay out that way very soon!
Perfect!
I was here just last week !! I did the hike up to Glen rock, over the ridge line to red rock, up to mt Philips and back down. Lovely spot !!
sounds like a good hike
There's a awesome camping area at spicers gap, the views from governor's chair are breathtaking and not far to walk from the vehicle seems to be a hidden gem worth a look mate and would make a good video 🙂
Sounds good mate. My buddy Jason was actually there this weekend. He reckons it's 👌 awesome
You are living the dream, just a quick night away without much mucking around, pizza close by, easy setup. I need to get out again and do something like this.
What pizza did you get mate? Looks delicious.
I got the ham and pine apple
You should have a buy me a fireball sponsor thing like Rob and T-rocks I'd shout you one Barry 😉
Yeah cool. I think I have to reach u tubes quota levels before I can set up something like that. Ha ha. Cheers mate
What a weird location for a campsite, i must try it myself and grab one of those pizzas. Entertaining video mate 💪
Fantastic, road side camp and pizza in the Deli.
Love your videos Barry I don't have to leave the couch tho I did kayak lake Manchester last Friday that's a real hidden gem of a spot just quietly 😀
yeah ive been looking at getting out to that lake there for years. haven't managed it yet.🙄
The walk from the first car park is 900m down a 35° hill to the kayak launching area it's definitely not user friendly but the lake with nobody around like being in another world, definitely make a good video
Bloody brilliant Gizmo i really do like your Delica adventure's, cheer's mate.
thanks very much.😊
Appreciate all the shots taken to make up the drive section. Also love the handyman glimpses.
Thanks mate
Crappy narration, probably an AI...
Good one Gizmo. Made a good vid on the topic. Question for you and don't answer it unless you want to. Would there be a e-vehicle option availble for you to do the bush work you do? Obviously the environment issue is important but I am thinking is there a utility / van / commercial style e-vehicle which would do what you do and want to do if you expand your portfolio of work.
Yeah not much in the way of e vehicles for serious bush vehicles here in Oz just yet. I always liked the look of the Bollinger. Looks a bit like a landrover.
Looks great mate,
hat: 🗿 car: 🗿 equipment: 🗿 my man, you have probably the best equipped van I've seen keep it up
Cheers mate
Keep warm mate
For some reason my motor has freaking sockets instead of flat head. I cant seem to find a socket that fits in it.
Bummer
Who else is here from twisted visions
Perfect weather and some great views of the park. Those rock formations are cool. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers mate
Great spot, I've done decent down to the bush camp. It's not quicker in my opinion. I took a spur down to the left. With a full pack it's slow going.
Yeah after seeing it up close. Hard yakka with a full pack I bet
It's a great spot. I call it the tooth. Park rangers call that area the dumbbells. Some of the best views in the park imho. Too loose under foot with a overnight pack on to make it to camp. I'm glad T-rocks got there to explain the rock formations. I've been about a 100 metres further down. It just keeps dropping in elevation. Probably doable both ways from the New England camp but on a day hike. A brilliant part of D'Aguilar National Park.
I like your name (the tooth). much better than those dumbbell's 🤣
What a beautiful hike. D'aguilar NP is my favourite place to explore.
was a great day. bit chilly in the morning.
@@GizmosBushEscapes I recently saw your Upper Byron Creek vid and decided to do it too- one of the best hikes I've ever done. Absolutely beautiful creek. But I want to work out how to get to the bottom of that waterfall!
@@tarajones8641 starting on pegs rd. you could possibly hike down gravel pit break .2km very steep. closed to vehicles. then another km upstream. about 6km round trip. not too far but extremely difficult i would imagine. easier to rappel down and back up methinks.😁
@@GizmosBushEscapes Yes! I'd had a bit of a look at the map, and Gravel Pit seems to be the only track to get you in there. Although it's not necessarily going to be easy. Anyway, I might give it a go soon and see what happens. Unfortunately, I have no abseiling skills, so it has to be Gravel Pit. 😄
I thoroughly enjoyed this guys!
cheers Steve
Great image quality & editing...I felt compelled to whistle the 'picnic at hanging rock' theme, when you looked up at the huge rocks! 🤣😁😉👍
Good stuff mate - camping here tomorrow!
Great stuff mate. I too will be in that area.
@@GizmosBushEscapes maybe see you out there man.
@@jacknugent5973 I passed 3 people heading to same camp. looks like your not alone 😄 and it was bloody cold up there.
@@GizmosBushEscapes oh really, no one but myself and a friend there last night. But yeah - bloody cold. Pre dawn was freezing, calm and misty. Not sure I’d camp there again in winter. Northbrook next maybe.
Hey, Mrs Gizmo!!! Good on her for being a good sport. I have been meaning to get up there with my kayak for a while now. If you dont mind covering about 12km you can do both arms of the mooloola river. Leave from the weir at Parrearra park on an outgoing tide down through the mansions, then turn around on the incoming up the other arm of the Mooloola river through state Forrest and back to the park. Its a really nice little paddle. If you want to do it one day we can try organise something.
12 kms ? I think that would be extremely difficult in my type of kayak.
@@GizmosBushEscapes yes, you’d want a battery that would run your motor for probably 2.5hrs. Assuming you get 5km/hr out of it.
Beaut spot with the palms. One wild dog is ok but encountering a pack would be a different story. Those burgers looked delicious 😀
The best bit about adventures like this is wondering what's around the next corner.
definitely 👍
Nice one Gizmo, enjoyed every bit of it!!
Glad you enjoyed it
New camera is great quality
I just love how easy it is to use. And carry
@@GizmosBushEscapes might need a Gizmo's review
Where's the waterfall..... Always next time 😂
We gotta go find a waterfall mate.
Brilliant mate. Awesome to catch up yesterday too!! 👍👍
Yes it was pretty good to see you yesterday buddy.
@@GizmosBushEscapes ...Only 'pretty good'??
Well I've got to say that prior to your vids I wouldn't have bothered trying to repair a battery with a dead BMS. But now I've seen how basic they are and how simple they are to replace. Thanks Gizmo.
That's bloody brilliant! If we all repaired instead of threw out not only would the cost of living come down slightly but so would landfill.
Thanks Mate. It was definitely worth giving it a try. I am now glad i did. Saved buying a new one which I would've had to save for.😁
Thanks for the update on a fix Gizmo. I am sure it will help others experiencing a similar problem. Keep up the good work !
I made these videos because it may just help someone with a similar problem with their battery. I couldn't find another video with my exact problem for reference material.
Fair call, I just really like your adventure stuff 👍
@@vinnie42ful mate, got a new adventure on the cards, hopefully video will be done by 20th.
Good stuff mate 👍
Really gizmo, this stuff is way beyond 😊what you bring to your channel, not what you should do,not good 😫
As we creators make videos for FREE, and generally cover topics to help or entertain people, I think our audiences generally understand that
I think you need to steal Bob the builders tag line.... Can he fix it, yes he can!! haha I hope you can fix it. I have a 12v gremlin I need to work out too. AGM batteries are only lasting a couple of months in my camping trailer. I am wondering if my solar controller is killing them....
just made a short video of fix. got a new bms.
Heyyyy, it's Missus Gizmo 😁 Howdy! Looks very nice up there mate, those turtles and lorikeets just amazing. Makes me want to take a real holiday haha 👌
Cheers mate. Was beautiful up there.
That Mooloolaba skyline somewhat hasn't changed a bit in 10yrs, kinda cool tbh. I like Kings Beach, Caloundra. Everyone has their fav Sunshine. Many ppl Coolumheads etc
Yeah the entire sunshine coast is a pretty sweet place I reckon
Beautiful love this view
thanks. me too
I love it up there! 👍
Great squid fishing along where you were walking along Mooloolaba rock wall & the beach at night near the lighthouse.
Gotta get out again. Been too long
Absolutely mate.😁
...My trouble is (1 of them anyway!); I think too much, too often 😁👀
😂😂
Yer we all talk about getting out too much. Just gotta actually get out there. Good to see Phil back. 😊
Thanks for that, I learnt a lot about BMS's from your video.
Brissy is nice. I lived there for 5 years.
As a gold coaster the worst thing about Brisbane is the traffic on the M1 going to and from
I honestly thought every participant would have chosen this as their topic. which is also why i did not.🙄🙄
@@GizmosBushEscapes don't get me wrong, I love Brisbane
