The thing I adore about this game is that with every floor completion there’s a new thing or upgrade to unlock. Which then makes you want to play it more and unlock everything. Great design!

Is it just me who was screaming at Matt for missing that treasure bag? Also this has sent me back to the OG pointless-clicker game, Cookie Clicker! I'm on so-many septendecillion cookies a second, and it's not nearly enough! Really good of Orteil not to include real cash money in the game, and utterly scummy of the usual suspect mobile phone developers to do exactly that. The game's pointless enough as it is. Orteil stumbled on the formula for perfect game addiction, but there's very little actual fun, and no meaningful achievement. To pay _actual money_ from my _life_ would be more absurd than actually playing it! So now I've got it up to speed, pulled my shield up, pressed the button, and it can earn by itself for the next few months. And Orteil has promised not to include yet more pointless buildings, every time you get near to collecting everything possible the whole game increases by a factor of 10, and that's not an improvement, French dude! Enough! I want to get what little point there is out of the game by owning everything, then sitting back with nothing more to do than watch pointless numbers go up. That's how you play these! Truly the man is the child of his post-modernist forefathers.

I feel like the best strat is probably upgrading everything so that all the upgrades are always close to the same price, buying the cheepest upgrade avaliable, and selling excess production. You wouldn't be ensuring everyone is working or building the tower fastest(at first) but you would be gaining money the fastest I think...

20 seconds into this video, I exited KZread to install it for myself. I have a history with Airapport's games. They are all SO fun to play! Most of them involve gears/cogs, that you can engineer to mach speeds of rpm. All but a few of their games are free. The company was made in Ukraine, and they hope for help for thrur country against Russia. A couple of their games thatcdo not have rotating wheels of teeth are this one, Idle Alchemy Assembly Line(IAAL), bottle cap challenge, play with snow, and many others. If you check the update history on this game, you'll see a "thanks, Real Civil Engineer!" For a larger screen area at the start. And a thank you from me, too! Though that was on/from August the 2nd, and this video was uploaded 12 days later...

Day six of asking Matt to add the Second Narrows Bridge, Ironworkers Memorial to the Wheel of Bridgetune It is a cantilevered truss bridge, carrying 6 lanes of traffic from Vancouver to North Vancouver in B.C. across the second narrowing of the Burrard Inlet. It's name comes from the fact that it collapsed twice during construction, which unalived 23 people in total (Hence the name, ironworkers memorial).

It's been 10 days since this video released and I am still playing this game, it's surprisingly in depth and the progression is fun

It suprises mw that Matt plays idle games. They are designed for people who don't want to strategize. Just evenly upgrade and enjoy the grinding gameplay as you get diminishing returns eventually diminishing down so far that it takes weeks to make any noticeable progress.

out of all the times I've seen the door breach that is the one that made me laugh (only because it wasn't until the door was off its hinges that I got the joke but still it got me)

Yes, it is :) First I made an HTML5 version of Babel Tower, and then ported it to Windows, Linux, Android and iOS under the name Idle Tower Builder. This version has 30 floors of unlockable content
