but Itarsi was electrified from so long the other trains which goes to Delhi uses electric loco. From Itarsi it gets WCAM-3.

Aditya Deshpande good question I believe its due to western ghats crossing between igatpuri and kasara. And bro this video i captured is from 2012. May be now a days it might not be a problem.

Nowadays it spotted sometimes with WAP-4 from ET to CSTM. From 2010 till today it is hauled by KYN WCAM-3 from ET to CSTM and there is nothing to do with the western ghats.

But Why engine is getting attached at Igatpuri? Why electric loco is not attached at Jabalpur itself? This train does not require banker for Kasara ghat?

bcoz at that time central railway Mumbai division was under DC power and so AC loco can't be operated in this region ....that why WCAM3 loco was use from CSTM to igatpuri vice versa.
