Awesomely brilliant video Tom. The dealership seem to be fantastic Allowing you that access for us etc They are clearly hugely thorough with everything, and very transparent about all with the vehicle. For a 16 year old, bespoke Supercar, this particular service was, imo, good news. U have a complete and accurate heads up of where the CGT is at. Under the circumstances, the bill is reasonable ( IMO ) The CGT is going up in value. This record of the service, adds hugely to the provenance of the car. Future potential buyers could watch this, and it alleviates many potential concerns. The service cost u $ 16 k today, but, it’s probably immediately added $ 50 k, or more to its future potential value ? That $ 16 k bill, has actually been an excellent investment in the CGT. Big thanks for this, and all of your efforts with content. 🚗 💥 💨

Have you had the shock tower mounts checked
This is one of my most favourite videos you have ever done, I love seeing all the parts and how it all works. It’s a incredible piece of kit, it’s a work of art. This is also why I think Tom is epic, he’s honest, works hard and can’t believe it’s two years since you got this! ( £400 for a Porsche badge? Ouch!) but it’s a incredible car and wow, that bill from the car at collecting cars 😭😭
I love these real world ownership cost type of videos. The final price didn’t seem too bad to me when I compared it to 12K to repair a very sick 04 Bentley conti GT a specialist 2 years ago! At least the Carrera GT is appreciating in value.

Or a gear box replacement on a freaking 2 liter bmw 4...€ 8K 😅
Brilliant video, I love all this kind of stuff you do. Running a group of body repair shops I know what goes into this sort of thing but seeing you going through it step by step is great!
£140 for a cover bolt. Cannot comprehend how comfortable someone has to be to say it’s not that bad
Awesome to get so 'up close and personal' with a rare supercar, thank you Tom. Great insights and love the TGE TV techinical videos from the service bay. Watched in full 👍
Great video, well done on the service it's never fun getting the first inspection done on a fancy modern classic but the relief you feel afterwards is always good!
Very cool having a look at components we don't see often. The engineering is on a different level from more accessible supercars, CGT is so cool..great video👏🏻
Fascinating stuff… painful, but I can see also a relief too. Well done for looking after it properly!
Enjoyable video Tom!!! I always love seeing content on the Carrera GT. A lot of money spent but I'm sure it's a satisfying feeling to know the car is sorted.
And this is why you’re the best vlogger around. Honest and in-depth. Well done. Great watch!
love the video, i love looking over the mechanical aspect of this vlog. good work tom. keep them coming
Thank you for sharing the walk through. My Porsche dealer Service Department has just begun videoing their inspection/evaluation and I think it’s a great way to learn.
Brilliant video Tom. Nice to come back and see quality stuff - really enjoyed that service run through, review. A whole different “snack bracket” but great to dream… Cheers
Very glad to see you being technical for a change. It is important for the younger generation to understand mechanics.
Looking forward to watch this fully. Did a passenger ride in a CGT at the Supercar event at Goodwood over the weekend. Definitely on the dream car list if I ever make it big. I remember reading somewhere the once every 12 years engine out service is around £40k but still not bad considering the value of this now & looks to be increasing even more. I remember thinking, flipping heck that's expensive when you bought it but it's pretty much doubled in value since then. Well done sir.
Thank you so much Tom. This is literally a dream video. Love this sort of stuff.
Remember - recover all parts even if damaged - they all have value...
Great you take care before they are 200 years and need a full restauration, great video as always!
Love this video and the technical detail. Great to see drivetrain out and I have never seen the CGT transmission before.
Absolutely brilliant video. Great insight into the costings for one of these cars. Thank you Tom
Brilliant Video Mr T, great of you to share ownership details and always a rare to see. A beautiful car, I hope to see it in the flesh one day.
Really interesting and enjoyable video. Thanks for doing the open and honest major service costs.
love that you do these types of vids.
Part of me thinks this video is amazing and part of me thinks £16½k 'are you taking the piss' !!!!???? But you nailed it at the end, it's a Carrera GT you'll get that 16 grand back when that car appreciates even more
Been waiting for this. Great video lad up there with one of the more useful and interesting ones
One of the most legendary cars from Porsche comes with a bill to show... love the channel from south africa 🇿🇦
Thanks for this vid, really interesting. I love looking inside at all the different forgings, castings etc.👍🏻
Mate awesome video loved it. Got to keep on top of her not only for reliability but for history and it’s all huge pluses for the value and appreciation
Thank you Tom. An excellent insight, very informative, really interesting. Painful to see the total but in the great scheme of things understandable. I’m glad it’s turning out to be a great investment. The good news is that it would be better to put a few more miles on it to keep all the bushes active. Enjoy this work of art, that sounds like a wonderful symphony too.
We need more videos like this! Reminds me of the ones down at Rindt with the Targa and 912 - love them!
Thanks for share this video about your Porsche on the center, the price of the bill and how you explain everything, just very interesting, CHAOS !
Great that you cover the costs. Many people don’t. Great churn bud!
Wow, seriously beautiful car. I’d no idea you had one (my bad, not watched your channel enough clearly!) but the colour is stunning! Bet it sounds the nuts too! Hope you enjoy a few miles once you’ve got that work done!
Not nearly as bad as I figured it would be! Great content and really interesting to watch!
Love this video its like an EVO fast fleet report but done on film! It includes all the ownership stuff we all love hearing about! More please!
a good honest insight to GT ownership, Thanks for sharing!!
Really interesting Video Tom as its great to see the car in bits along with a rundown of all the parts and work required. I know the CGT is going up in value but I cannot get my head around a 16k service bill!! That said, it's worth paying that to keep it's provenance and history tip-top 👍

You will get that 16k as a return on your resale value as the vehicle will be in A1 condition and appreciate more
Hey mate - just spent a week in Crete. With my 18 month old boy. Best week of his life. Challenging for me 😂 Beautiful beautiful beautiful place to be!!
Great content...more like this please and if possible would love to see coverage while technicians are working on your car!
Love the advert in just as the price reveal 🤗 😊 good vid tge!
Cracking video Tom, loved this insight to the CGT service.
Fantastic video. Really appreciate you showing the real side to ownership. Relative to the car in question, the bill seems very fair.
A mate was supposed to be collecting his from service at Reading on Monday and heading up to spectate and join us the PCGB Silverstone track day. The silver CGT in the background looks very, very similar to his. Love seeing the detail son these things.
Superb in-depth post on your car great to see what’s required to keep a super car in top nick 👍
Great video! Really interesting and an honest open look at ownership.
Wow, what an interesting video. Great stuff Tom, eally enjoyed that.
you don’t often see videos covering costs like this, real-world ownership great video
Great video Tom and that Carrera GT was a great find continued luck and pleasure with it.
Always honest and interesting mate great video
Thanks for sharing this Tom! It's something no one will ever know unless you are a millionaire. 16k is expensive but as the car is an investment for you it balances itself out. To me though it looked like they only really did oil/filter/sparks/tyres and some odd bits here and there......that VIP labour rate is insane! Interested to see when/if you sell the car whether or not it was worth it for you. The potential of a 50K service bill is surely worrying for anyone so I hope the overall ownership of the Carrera GT has been worth it so far 👍
Brilliant video, Tom - very informative! I've always wondered how 'manageable' these things are in the real world. I'd say that the cost is almost trivial compared to the vehicle's value - it's probably appreciated more than £16.5 in the time that it took to carry out the service - no joke when you also consider what the 'value' of seeing that service stamp would be to any future potential purchaser anyway! A huge bill, but it must be far more painless when you consider what you're sitting in, financially anyway. Plus, if you carry on only covering similar mileage each year then you're pretty 'safe' I'd say!
Thank god for appreciation when maintenance costs this much. Such an epic car and spec. My favourite TGE vehicle by far.
Came here from some instagram #. The poor baby hanging up there holding on for dear life! Never seen that before and I absolutely LOVED seeing this! I never even knew there are places like these where you can still get every part replaced from Porsche itself! That is amazing! Does other manufacturers actually do that?

Porsche are the dogs danglies for this sort of thing. Worth pointing out the work start to finish took a few days.
Great real-world video. Love it! Good call taking the plunge and taking it in for that too 😂👍
Great vid, do more of these with some of the others in your collection!
Think you’ve just upped your game there Tom. Very interesting and great insight.
Sick video mate, really interesting to see the guts of your garage 🐐
Best video yet! That cost is crazy!
Love the techy look round the car and engine
Great video Tom really enjoyed watching it. Although the bill was scary it’s good provenance for a car of that value should you sell it in the future
Really enjoyed this stuff!
Good video seeing the mechanics of the car and underneath
Great video really enjoyed that!
I found that very honest and interesting. Cheers Lad.
class video... proper insight to owning a car like this
This was a very good video, Tom. Very interesting indeed.
Good evening TGE hope you are doing well i have absolutely loved this video thank you so much much i find this so interesting again i loved seeing that special place that all CGT have where it’s going that is brilliant thanks again TGE keep winning brilliant Video Best regards Tristan
Cool video lad. Drive it in good health!
Really great vid Tom good work 👊💥
Nice one brother, great video, more of this content please
Good video dude, loving the CGT
Great video Thomas - Really interesting.
Proper interesting vid that 👍makes my c63 amg service at £500 cheap as chips 👍😀 looking forward to seeing you driving it on the road again 👍😀
Brilliant video...enjoyed that alot
I’ve got an old defender which has increased in value more than the amount I’ve spent on it. Which makes perfect sense when these things need to be kept well maintained.
Great Video Tom!
Great no nonsense video!
fantastic content, love the CGT.
It’s always the Labour they get you on, even on this it costs more then the actual parts. Still considering the car that’s not actually bad. I mean a Bugatti set of tyres is what 22 grand. But at least you know it’s a good car as they’ve stripped its engine out and checked everything. It’s important in the U.K. to have your car regularly checked because if the weather and climate, it can rust parts easily. Plus our crap roads wear parts away. Thanks for sharing a great informative video.
Really good video Tom! Very interesting to see the car taken apart! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Tom... great car, great insight 👍
Really enjoyed this video 👌
Thanks for putting this video on. It’s very interesting and Iam pleased your car is good. I noticed spark plugs are about £45 each and you need 10. Damn lol.
When it comes to the day of selling, it would be awesome to see the purchase price, cost of the finance, cost of the services/upkeep and what the net profit would be on it. They say you can't make money on cars. However, this car definitely bucks the trend and I think you've smashed it out the park with this one Tom.
Real, fantastic insight video!!
Great video Tom, really interesting.
Really interesting video! Nice one!
Love the breakdown videos .. top car.
Great video. Makes me not so concerned now when I have my mere GTS4.0 in for its first service 😆
Tom keeping on top of it as usual ❤
Best video you have ever done.👍🇦🇺
Great Video Tom! 10:23 Spat my coffee out!
Great video Tom, thanks for doing it - pretty unique I’d say to get this sort of insight. £16k suddenly doesn’t sound so bad on a million pound car! 🤪
The young Metcalfe does it again. Great video Tom
Great insight Tom
Very interesting video. Were you already convinced to make a full video on it? I know you know the history of this specific car but if some unforeseen issues popped up this could be detrimental for the value of the car. But good to see this piece of art is getting driven sometimes and taken care of!

Was always going to film it if I could - but was going to see what the issues were and make a decision if I really couldn’t let it hit the internet. If it was catastrophic my first priority wouldn’t have been the video, it would have been sorting as best I could.
Jay Leno highly recommends steel disks over composite for regular street use. A massive price difference. I think he even said that some people swap the composite for steel when new, then put the composite disks on when selling, to help attract buyers. (edited for a typo)
Great content. Thank you
My absolute dream car! Don't suppose I'll ever even sit in one but don't have the bills either. Makes my 911 look thrifty 😊
