I always love it when they have strong male leads that are afraid of the craziest of things. Here with the mouse. Also Xu Feng in Ashes of Love afraid of seeing a tiny snail - but has no problem eating a large centipede ( yeah, I know, he is a brave burnt crow Phoenix), etc, etc. Makes them seem not so perfect, but like the rest of us.... .........simply being normal.

For what i know she's a good actress.

done watching the whole drama and loving it so much I want it not to end! ^-^ I wish both of them will do more dramas in the future as they have the chemistry! I know Xiaoman sometimes disappoints BUT if you consider the dilemma of the heroine in this drama you'll see how effective Liang Jie portrays her role of not letting herself be second best as she deserves to be the Wife and not just a concubine! Besides who wants to see her husband be with someone else? That's what she's setting her foot in for. :). She does not want to be just someone else's shadow nor share her husband to anyone else! :) Can we blame her for that? ;).

The only disappointment I've seen so far in the first episode is the male lead and her father. Although falling in love with such a bastard who values cricket more than respect for people is a disappointment. This looks like one of those dramas in which the female lead would rather choose a bastard as her lover instead of finding a better one or living her own life. I find those types of writers misogynistic

Once she saw the exam papers burning she should have left at once knowing somebody did it. Staying there was not wise such a mistake can ruin her life.

The female lead does not talk like a 5 year old, so then I can continue watching this series.

This is like meteor garden/boys over flower but in historical period. Poor girl go to rich school gets bully for being poor and met a spoil brat rich male lead student.

For those like me watching second time or first .The English sub is great. The actors are fantastic the details are well done.
