When I searched this drama up, it talked about the FL and her journey, but really I think this story is about Hanchen and his journey, it should be seen to be based around him. Yes, she plays a major role but the input from him is outstanding! I cried when Zhou died, and when Hanchen held the sword to the chancellor and talked about all the dead soldiers it was too sad. Be kind people!

Joseph is a great actor. Super role for him

Joseph Zeng's performance here is commendable. It's a challenging role but he was able to portray it 💯. No other can portray the complex character of of the prince but him only. His acting is so convincing from that of a childish teenager to turning into a mature adult .all of the scenes of the the prince life was delivered perfectly to us audience through that impressive performance of a versatile actor. Regardless of his young age,Zeng's performance is at par,I am awed by his changing of different facial expressions in just one scene. It's so convincing, it's as if am also there with them engulf by the delivery of every lines. A superb Actor indeed. Keep it up Joseph Zeng, Thank you for sharing your great performance to us. Can't get enough of you,your oozing with talents.👍👍👍👏👏👏👏😍 Am following 'Rebirth for you ' also. another great portrayal. Congratulations Joseph Zeng👍👏👏👏😍

Oh god 🤭🤭 my Zong Ziyan didn't deserve that , kind soul he was loyal and friendly I was real hooked by their relationship, The actors and actresses they really nailed it love them from Africa

I can't believe this drama has come to an end. This drama have many ups and downs but it's plot and their chemistry got me stick to it till the end. Definitely need season 2 but this time in a modern world ✨

So sad this is the end! I really loved this show! Wish I could of seen more of married life and then having babies! Such a good show! So glad for a happy ending!

其實編劇可以編鈡子 硯不用死的、此劇最敗是女主演的不怎麼樣她的父母也真的很無語，表姐演技真的好太多、男主、鐘子 硯真的演的很棒、皇帝是老戲骨風起長林也是老帥。

In spite of the inconsistency of weak/silly plots throughout it all vs the serious crimes at the end of the drama, it was very enjoyable. Joseph Zeng's acting is really good. I have even shed some tears in this final episode! Kudos to the script writers on Hanchen's character. Finally a man that does not act on revenge or egoism or defense, but for the good of others. I feel like clapping and jumping of joy 😁Very uplifting and inspiring. Thanks a lot for sharing and for the subs 😃

This Emperor is the best Emperor of all the drama I've been watching. I guess Hanchen used to tease Xiaoma everything about her being his columbine that's what a columbine does; however, he never did anything to her even now they are married. He is an honest man and pure heart to himself, his family, his friends, and his nation. He should be the Emperor.

after every good series, there should be a season 2...Ziyan is a true friend indeed...when the emperor was crying after Henchen left that was heart wrenching...

Joseph Zeng gave a great performance in this lead role. His character was brilliantly played. The series was not long and had a fast pace which I appreciate the most. Also the role of the main character was excellently played. I look forward to seeing more of the acting performances.

Oh my God! The crown prince is actually adopted son? No wonder the Empress turn nuts. I give the cast of this drama 100/10 they are incredible amazing actors and actresses. Definitely need season 2. The storyline improved a lot for the last few episodes. And please use Liang jie Xiaoman real voice she is a marvelous actress. Pls don't make her voice weird. Thank you for good ending and English sub. Waiting for more of Joseph and Liang jie.

sgcl10658 i don’t think that’s the king’s son. In the history, in Song Dynasty this king had no son. So this crown prince is probably the king’s brother’s son.

Remember when our male lead said “you have a lot of kids”, and remember how this crown prince called our male lead “brother”. This king said even if this crown prince is not his own son, he still treats him as his own son. Think about when the empress made Shen zhaowen to marry the king because this king had no son.

To be honest Joseph Zang has really and without any doubt nailed his role. He excelled simply he mastered every aspect, every perspective and every way making the personification of thr character just an amazing reality that is living inside of us. From the first episode till the end he made all the way just amazingly even mastering the up and downs of the inside of the character. He is without any doubt an excellent actor deserving all the success possible

So the wicked dad just let what would have been the best King go. He lost the best son he could ever have. To late to realize what a good son he had . If only he could showed a little kindness.

Well, I eventually was able to find all of the episodes translated in English so I would like to give many thanks to all of the subbers. I couldn’t have enjoyed this wonderful drama without you. I give this show a perfect score and I never do that. It kept the story and characters interesting the entire time, which is difficult to do without getting caught in a cycle of conflicts and overcoming them. Perfect cast but I wish the actor that was the Emperor would be in a show where he was a good father because this and “Legend of Minglan” had the saddest father relationships. Fantastic music, lighting, cinematography, editing, and directing. The only issue I had with the end is that it was reckless to leave the Empress alive because it is clear the Crown Prince would restore her titles once the current Emperor died, and that would cause further national problems. Again, good job all around!

I looooved it!❤ The lead actress did a good job playing this role😉. Would have liked to see a little bit more of their happiness together. Thank-you for uploading and the English subtitles😁✌🇦🇺
