I've never seen a FL so excited for the death of the ML lead before 🤣🤣 Aww, him purposely touching all the meat entrees with his chopsticks just so she could help herself was surprisingly sweet of him to do! I'm also quite excited for the pairing of the 5th Lord with the Dan princess. I can't wait to watch her whip him into shape!

I think only 30-40% of her behavior stemmed from jealousy alone. The more important reason was because she's likely well aware that Hao Jia manipulated her way into the household. Second Prince wasn't a candidate during that year's selection. He didn't even live in the palace and wouldn't normally run into any of the girls. Fangru is smart enough to realize that if he took a girl home, it meant the girl had manipulated her way into it. At this point, she probably thinks Hao Jia has malicious intentions. Even if she didn't feel that way, she probably still felt the need to assert her authority and tell her that she can't play tricks under her watch.

I laughed so hard during the meal scene I started crying. They are so cute

Some of the light, fluffy historical dramas are TOO light and fluffy for me, but this one seems just about right. It's cute and funny without being overly slapstick or silly. The main couple has potential to be very sweet. Time to binge watch over the next few days!
