White Dew is the best, I love how she was sitting during the family reunion, it's like she was on her couch

people usually fight so hard for the 1st place in competition, but here girls are trying to get the last place just because they want wei to pass the exam easily. I love this scene.

When that crown prince got reprimanded by his dad I just knew he was going to take it out on his lovely lady and he did. So childish 😠 I hope that she will get a better life than with him. I know she chose it but she deserves better. Other than that, really loving the series! Love the support the women give eachother! Must indeed have been difficult so I'm glad they stick together. You don't see that often in these dramas unfortunately 😔 Big recommendation if you love this, is Dreams of Splendor! You won't regret it!

Tbh... Dream of splendor is great!... Especially some actors that aced their roles!

I adore our main characters, but I also adore those who aren't the main characters. I adore the staff of our main characters. They truly care for the prince and his concubine, and they love that they are starting to care for each other. :)

Li Wei comes across much more intelligent than the writers are allowing. She's a fantastic FL, her character could be about helping him solve the problems while building their relationship. She's an amazing actress.

I love how food can bring us all together. Li Wei power is admiring food and the people who eat it. Everybody loves to talk about their favorite dish from their home or curiosity of new food. It’s a smart way to also understand geography, politics, and the people who live there❤

Third prince family are something else 😂 and the ladies sticking together in harmony is over the 🌕 thank you director for portraying love ❤️ in this drama

The dialogue in this drama is so witty and good. I love the unconventional ness of all this. No catty fighting among the women and the brothers mostly (except for our crown Prince) get along.

I'm waiting for Fang Ru to join Li Wei's group of friends. Li Wei has a gift of making people like her.

I’m really enjoying this set up - the way the main couple are talking about how the different stars have different rules and expectations, and how their individual cultures can be seen differently etc- like how in her home state, her being a concubine is considered something to be looked down on because they believe in monogamy for men AND women. I know it’s fiction, but I’ve never seen an Asian drama cover this sort of topic!- really interesting (and funny of course!)

The way superintendent su, the chef and li wei's maids were looking and talking about zheng and li wei was pretty hilarious but still cute❤😂❤😂❤😂❤😂❤❤😂❤❤❤

This remind me of my life with my mother going around the town trying to collect the debts ( which they owe to my father who’s generous to all his customers will be off set by my strict righteous mother’s courageous action. Thank goodness I was a mediator in all between. Thank you mon n pa. I had learn a lot of life lessons from both of you. This drama reflect my life. So hilarious to enjoy. Love it.😂❤️

You can already see he would be a bad emperor. His whole attitude towards using his wife's family without even considering her shows how much of a narcissistic jerk he is. His "It's my house and whatever I say is right, even if it's wrong and I am to be obeyed in everything without question" is a great big red flag he doesn't need to be in ultimate power. He would end up offending all the other states and they would ally against him to remove him from power.

I love how supportive the ladies are what a blessing ❤

5th Lord is adorable in his bumbling way, he tries..his method is just always wrong It's ironic that Hao Jia chose her lord and yet she lives miserably while the others were given away and yet they live more freely and happily than her 😢 I will never get sick of 3rd lord's wives rolling their eyes at his ridiculousness The fact that Li Wei is still so adamant about returning is getting annoying. She knows she has a good life there yet has never considered it could be her home. He makes the effort to get to know her and yet she doesn't reciprocate.

Personally, you really can’t blame FL for wanting to return to her home State. She always refer to her husband as her “Master” because she’s his slave (concubine means slave). Look at Third Young Master, he has over 25 wives/concubines🤬. Even if her husband promised her he will not take anymore wives/concubines at the present, they usually don’t keep their words. If his kingdom needs new allies, he will marry per his father/king’s orders. They have to send new women to the Capitol every three years. Unless the King (his father) is producing sons every month, he will be forced to take new wives/concubines🤔 Being Free in my home State or a controlled Slave with a Master in another State (with a lot of restrictions), I would take my State…love eventually fades🤔

I am hoping they both finally get honest with each other. ML doesn't seem the type to want a second wife needs to admit he really does like her and she has hurt his feelings by saying she wants a divorce, and is trying to get FL promoted to a full wife, and I bet he remembered that kiss.... FL needs to admit she really likes the ML and the kiss, and let him know she was upset he won't admit to the deed.....

I am Chinese and I have to say concubines are definitely not slaves, but more like lovers. But yes, concubines cannot get fully respected compared to main wife. In ancient China, only Emperor’s concubines can get fully respected, but that also depends on if concubines have sons or if they come from important official officers families.
