I love my DC5 Type-S, but I mainly chose it over the DC2 GSR just because of the k20 vs the b18. My ideal car would be a DC2 with a k20 motor, best driving experience with the best motor Honda has to offer

I miss my DC2 Type R so much, I still drive it in my dreams. More fun and faster than the Evo 5 which I had later

Yeah it was, not from a standing start for obvious reasons. It had a B20 bottom end. Various other N/A tuned goodness built for circuit racing. But yeah 1/4 mile time was quicker than the mostly stock Evo 5

I have a dc4 no VTEC these videos make me so proud to own an integra such a legendary car

both are true Type R's. But DC2 is more raw.

Both are raw. They just ruined the Dc5 by cheaping out on the front suspension design

Thanks. I'm aware that some subscribers wouldn't mind to see other cars as well, but I'd like to keep this channel focused on Honda Type R cars, mainly the DC2 Integra. If anyone wants to see more BM videos I'd recommend the channel LazyBoyVMA, he got almost every BM episode, no english subtitles though.

***** Appreciate the uploads mate! I thought I had a big BM collection lol, but you've shown me quite a few clips I have never seen before...including the first 0-400m run I've seen of the JDM DC5R. Just wondering, did BM have any other episodes featuring the FN2R? I've only seen one where they put it against the FD2R (with a headstart), and another where it is lined up against a few other hot hatches in a race.

@@Ra-ml7ju the new Civic Si should have an N/A version of the K20C1, with at least 220/230hp(instead of the 1.5 turbo) the turbocharged K20C1 makes 300hp on the Type R.

Honda Integra DC2 Type-R is my dream car

I love both of these cars, and I have binge watched so many of these videos. I have a 2008 FG2 and love the KSeries Honda Engine.

i feel the engine was improved but the drawback was the suspension on the dc5, it was designed by diferent people then the dc2

Yeah cost cutting, if Integra and Civic had retained a double wishbone suspension (like the Accord had) it would have been fantastic.

I love the DC2, i have a GSR so im biased, it cant be helped. Put a k20 in it and the whole game is flipped, its the best of both worlds....and yes i know this video is compairing non modded factory spec versions of the generations, just wanted to throw this perspective out there. Though im still rocking my b18 to this day ☺

Oh the understeer...its like every corner can be like the last corner before ambulance and firefighters are involved...tires seem like basketballs with no contact when thrown at high speeds.

DC2 sounds more aggressive and even looks more aggressive. i-vtec in DC5 is a much less aggressive version of vtec in comparison to B18C6 in DC2.

性能だけで言えばトルクの谷間が無くなったi-VTECの方が旧VTECより全域トルクから最高出力まで全てにおいて効率が良くなってるんですけどね… だからこそ、官能性については旧VTECであるB型エンジンの方に分があるとも言えます (個人的にはB型エンジンのが好きです)

this one hasn't been changed at all, rev limit is 8600 like mine, unlike other "stock" ones tsuchiya and gan san rev to 9000

Yeah good point my DC2 cuts out hard at 8600 rpm. I heard the original UK models went to 9 grand but I could be wrong.

Of only they used EK9 chassis for the DC5.... Same wheelbase but with double wishbone...

The new one looks a lot neater but the old one sounds so much better and looks a bit less refined (more rugged and skatty) on the inside. Prefer the old one myself.

agreed proud dc2 type rx integra owner

DC2 keeps pulling away on corner exit when DC5 is following, showing less understeer and better management of roll due to superior suspension and less weight. Not sure about LSD differences though. Ultimately if the DC2 also had K20 it would have won easily.

いつもの事だけどT屋氏は進入でタイヤを使い過ぎてる。 減速とターンインでグリップ使い切ってるからフロントが入ってなくて、そのせいで立ち上がりで遅れてる。
