This is the scene that always stuck with me. To maintain your complete attention on a specific area for who knows how long, in order to make a successful head shot on a moving target visible for only a fraction of a second. Vasily is more composed than I would be, realizing I was up against an opponent capable of doing that.

This scene always pissed me off, because the film-makers suddenly gave the enemy super-human abilities and a laser rifle. Had they had König aim at the _other_ side of the jump, it would have been realistic. But this was just "Oh look Audience, how awesome the enemy is because he does things that are not at all humanly possible".

@@gewalfofwoofia8263 I was an army sniper for 12 years and what he says is correct. I laughed when I saw this scene and thought the same thing. The best snipers in the world could not make that shot unless they were insurmountably lucky. It would have been better if Koulikov was shot as he was about to complete his jump on the other side. Or maybe the bullet grazes him, like Hollywood loves to do as well. But, all in all, it's a movie and a great one at that.

There is no chance in hell such a shot is possible. Best case scenario he'd graze one of them and even so, his body would still land on the other side due to inertia. This movie is good but it's also a terrible mess.

For those who don't understand the plan is that the first guy jumps so he can catch the sniper off guard and by surprise and so when he fires the second guy behind him gets shot, clearly though the Major is skilled and hits the first guy and then we see the main character in shock after knowing that he is finally facing the German Major that is known on that front.
