Thanks dude! Im using a Rickenbacker 330 modded to be a 335 going into my pedal board (for this song I used a vintage EHX Holy Grail & Small Stone, Diamond Vibrato, MXR Dyna comp, Mxr carbon copy, and mini germanium fuzz face for the solo), then that goes into my KTG-1 Preamp clone (which makes up a good chunk of Kevin Parker’s tone), and that goes in DI into my computer. I know thats a lot of gear lol so if you’re looking for a few pointers to just get started I would definitely recommend getting a Small Stone phaser and a Vibrato to get you in the ballpark for sure :)

Thank you! And yeah I added the vintage vibrato tailpiece and scatterwound toaster pickups to essentially turn it into a 335 Rick instead of a 330. Those pickup’s completely transformed the guitar into an amazing jangly Rick pulled straight from vintage recordings. Then I ended up having the guts to tape and paint the reverse pickguard like Kevin Parker’s.

@@TameTones wow, that's a sign of a true fan to mod an expensive guitar like that. I've been wanted to get a rick 330 or 360 to replace the pickups, but I could essentially get that jangle out of a telecaster which I already have
What kind of effect is on the guitar?

It’s actually a mix of a bunch of effects. Reverb, Delay, Overdrive, Compression, Phaser, and Vibrato. I guess the Phaser would be the centerpiece of all of them though.
So Tame Impala pretty much took all the gear from the Beatles, cool lmao

I made the reverse pick guard shape with some white tape then painted it turquoise to replicate Kevin Parker’s Rickenbacker
