That’s true. It’s basic theology. Even though you admitted me you broke the window, you still have to pay for the broken window. Even though you confess, there is still penance.

I come back to this from time to time. Bittersweet, but hopeful. The music is a nice touch. Some of us have a Claire in our lives.

One of the most underrated films of all time.

The script is from 'Set It Off' but they remade the cast with men instead of women. This script is better in my opinion.

how is this movie “Underrated”?

I think this was the ending he deserved because in this way he truly realise how much he had lost and how much he had done wrong. This is the type of ending that I didn't expect which is great to see

Not the ending he needed, but the one he deserved, ‘cause he’s not a washed-up-hockey-player-turned-thug, he’s a silent guardian, a watchful protector, an actor who portrayed…the Dark Knight!

It's been 12 years now since this movie came out. I hope by now they've gotten back together and the feds stopped looking for him.

I mean even if they got back together, they would have to be on the run together for the rest of their lives. Imo it would've been a better ending if Doug was found and killed in the end.

They did! It wasn’t worth the time or money, eventually they both meet on a beach, like Shawshank redemption.

Very bittersweet ending. As is life itself most of the time.

The "Maybe if I go I may stop looking" has something in it that is beautiful and sad

One of the best Endings!

Fantastic ending happy he got away hope she joins him, maybe the orange 🍊 was a clue were he was going

It's not what you have done wrong but something inside of you is kindness....

honestly this ending is much better than ben affleck's true ending. spoilers: in ben affleck's director's cut / extended cut, when doug goes to the switch car near the warehouse, the dominican gangsters are there, and after confronting doug and he says "how's your leg?" they shoot him several times mid sentence before leaving with the small amount of cash he had on him.

it didn't make sense that she could use ANY of it since it was stolen and wasn't flipped or "cleaned" yet. but other than that, she wanted to give the boys and girls club something nice so she had the hockey rink built. 😅one of her "sunny days"

Great movie. If Ben didn't have so many personal demons, he could have had an illustrious career.

I gotta be real, this ending is just way too happy. I much prefer the true ending in the extended cut. It feels much more deserving and fits better with the whole message of the movie.
