Just a heads up for those wondering why there is no Safi/Raging/Furious gear in these builds. Well, those builds are all coming in season five along with Master Rank Kulve, Arch Tempered Namielle, and Alatreon. Season 4 was to be finished by now but with the editing laptop kicking the bucket the season got delayed. So there will be a few more build videos covering pre safi gear till season 5 of builds hits.

Would you be able to assist me? I just got the raging brach bow and I’ve seen online that people run 2 piece his armor and the rest safi...what would be a good replacement if I don’t want to run safi...I’ve noticed the Rath armor has the critical boost but I’m not sure if there’s a better option. Thanks in advance.

@@ARod3 You'll want armors with stamina/damage related skills. Constitution, Stamina Surge, Peak Performance, Attack Boost, etc... The Lunastra armor bonus raise your max stamina too.

Thank you so much for putting a more survivable build in here. I feel like I’m just about as good as I’m going to get but I naturally have a very aggressive playstyle. Being able to take an extra hit or two when I’m being TOO aggressive is invaluable.

Thanks for this! I like the true crit elemental build. I've been looking for one for a fire element swaxe, and I used all of my dracolite on other stuff 😝. I'm sick of farming Safi. I adjusted your build by using the Glavenous Smasher 2, which has 2 tier 1 jewel slots and allows for more custom augments. I'm at around 750 fire element, plus I was able to add 2 levels of tool specialist. This build was so much fun to take against Velkhana!

I find it strange and amazing that after switching to switch axe this video comes out on the same day.

You only need earplugs lvl 1 now for switch axe. ZSD now has lvl 4 earlplugs, even when you do it with the clutch claw, so having just lvl 1 gives you max lvl earplugs when you ZSD.

Darcblade's build guides are the most awesome for me. A lot of options for casual and time attack hunters

I feel like you got the weapons on the first two builds backwards. Ruinous Light has a lot of base sharpness on it so will manage much better in sets without Master's Touch, where as Golden Crescent will benefit much more from a pure damage focused build that is using Master's Touch.

well gonna keep my 50% affinity + wex3 + kaiser + agi 7 + berserk 3 for ever can't wait for the kulve and namielle... elemental build were not that good and i tried every elemental stuff on SA, always had better dps output with the guild palace sa till we got safi ..

For the buff body build could I replace the rajang SA with the furious rajang one?

a critique for the health regen build, if the only reason you want earplugs is to zero sum discharge through the roars, the move itself comes with 4 levels of earplugs. so you'll need only 1 lv to discharge through roars, so if you wanna squeeze in other skills you can still be immune to roars when you trade most/all of the earplugs. I recommend 2 lvs of evade extender for dodging and repositioning in sword mode.

@@Ed_man_talking9 tried this out today yeah what do you know Guess who's putting in a level of earplugs on all of his SA builds? I wish the game would tell you this and if it does they need to make it a little more obvious

Im playing a very tanky build, this seems to fit perfectly too me by now. 3 Tigrex / 2 Blackveil Vaal Hazak, 7 on def, 7 on attack, 5 on earpods, 3 on health. I have almost no problems with any monster, but im not in the late game so lets see what this build is worth.

It’s about mechanical lumu it’s the best for perfect blast dmge but I think other SwAx’s are better

I've been playing this game since the beginning and not ONCE have ever gotten any Attack Jewels other than they being a +4 jewel. They are next to impossible to get and I wish they make certain event quests that specifically target jewels you want or at least doing events/quests for higher chance of getting one at the least other than quests where you get more jewels like the temp zinogre event. Builds I see on KZread I cant build 90% of them because of the jewels.

Sadly the Ruiner Nergigante SA just isn't as good as the Raging Brach SA. Which is so damn sad because the Nerg SA is absolutely badass amazing! I really hope they let layered weapons work with endgame gear

CineresCineribus The gap between the old meta weapons and the current meta isn’t THAT dramatic. Ruiner Nerg, Gold Rathian, Stygian Zinogre weapons are all far from unviable, and I still use a couple of them now and again just to mix things up.

I think you're wrong with the recovery speed apply to the entire health bar with vaal soulvein skill 8:29

Some fantastic sets here :) I use the MT set with a blast SA & it's very silly indeed! Tip for SA that not everyone knows: ZSD comes with Earplugs lv 4, so if you have Earplugs lv 1 on your set, you'll never get roared out of a ZSD.

No Exhaust Phial Support build???

Maybe Darcblade made this video long ago before raging Brach and F.Rajang came. So gonna drop some improvement in. DPS build improvement : Weapon should be Lightbreak Axe (Raging Brachydios), for armor use R.Brach chest and legs and Agitator charm instead. Regen and Gaia Veil build : Use Demonlord Axe (Furious Rajang). It has the same raw and affinity as Golden Crescent, but start with long purple sharpness.

@@cgonzalezcon yes. this is because safi GS awakening has less raw than other weapons. (9/14 instead of 10/15 for Atk up V/VI). Lightbreak can easily win the gap by slotting in any attack skill in the extra lvl3 slot it has. it also got a lot more blast.

I believe what he is doing is pressing the triangle and circle button awhile clutched clawed to the monster.

you usually can't do anything that there isn't a prompt for is whats throwing me off. i know he has his HUD disabled for the sake of gameplay but i didn't think switch axe had the ability to go into one of its most powerful moves just from a clutch claw with near certainty.

You need to charge your sword, then clutch claw and press Y + B or Triangle + circle

The axe is nice with an ok raw damage and a very long white sharpness, which means I won't need any sharpening in at least 4-5 min in a normal hunt without the Master's Touch skill. So I fail to see the purpose of this combination. Imo Master's Touch is usually for weapons with short sharpness or fast attacking weapons like dual blades/glaive.

@@danyang1613 yes indeed, sweet spot of using master touch is using it on weapon which the purple sharpness take only 5-10 hit to decrease, you go for full crit first for better uptime with master touch then go for other skill. For weapon with long white/purple sharpness you should go for full DPS or if you still want to sharpness go for razor sharp or grinder for quick whetstone.

Especially with the current Whetfish farm event. Instant whetstones, makes master touch less essential in a lot of builds. Say hello to Protective Polish though, for those purple weapons! It has become a serious skill to consider now with the whetfishes.

Y’know, I really like my purple sharpness so I’m probably just gonna swap every axe out for a Safi One with hella sharpness.

They are. Usually you should have Safi or Brachy. Also you need 3 parts teo and 2 parts brachy. Maxing out Attack, Agitator, Wex, CB, 3 HB, 3 Peak and 5 CritEye. As mantles you choose Rocksteady and evasion. His builds make too less damage, but they are comfy for beginners

I always go with Master's touch on SA. Brachy beta chest and legs are nice. My vit/charger x 3 makes it really easy to get charge up. Power prolonger is not worth it in my opinion. Unless the monster moves a lot. You can charge up way faster.

Being a former long sword player 99% of the time Yes I know I was foolish I wasted my time but then I found the switch axe and all was balanced. .I agree to disagree with you about power prolonger playing the switch axe long enough now very proficiently I have some of my own thoughts. Unless the monster is downed you are not going to be reliably hitting combos in sword mode. Once the monster is down you can do a ZSD If you don't have power prolonger you can't go for another one and sometimes you can even go for yes a third. With monsters being so fast in iceborne in my opinion it's almost essential that you trip them up before you go into sword mode. If you try to move around in sword mode you're never going to catch everything and you're going to waste your charge. Power prolonger assures that if you are knocked down or even stuck in a roar your charge isn't going to be completely evaporated within seconds.

I cant wait for the day when Capcom finally decides to remove RNG from armor set building, monster drop RNG is fine, but having deco's being RNG as well is really annoying, just as annoying as every past game having charms being RNG drop based. When I first heard about World and that they made it so you could craft charms finally I cheered...then I heard they switched Deco's to being drop based and cried

@@tyranpierson1219 It's a sidegrade, depends on your augments, but with attack Vs and VI + some sharpness to get it to purple, blast Safi's SA performs roughly the same as Brachy one. Run the numbers if you don't believe me, it's not a matter of opinion, it's about math. I like Safi a bit more just because I often run melee builds without Master's Touch.

Braci is easier to get ( eg less runs for materials) safi is more flexible as you can build the way you like ( choose between more attack and white or less attack and purple)

1:25 there are 6 Argumentation slots, why does my weapon only have 3???? I have the same weapon!!

@@mandarinduck5507 I'm not a huge fan of health regen personally overall I think the monsters do way too much damage for it to be worth it but generally the consensus is to do damage.. If you're not doing damage you might as well just not be part of a multiplayer hunt. It's different if you have a strictly defensive based weapon but if you're playing something that's not involving a shield the exception being sword and shield do damage otherwise you're no good to anyone and I don't mean that to sound like an ass
