Shaun Evans performance is brilliant, he is Morse at all times in the episodes, his sensitive face reveals all the complexities and the inner struggles of Morse. My family is watching the Endeavour series for the third time and love every moment of it

I loved that at the end, which is also the end of the series, when they come out into the daylight, Endeavour says “It’s beginning to thaw”, which I take to be a nod to John Thaw. So classy.

​@@elizabethpeterson455I loved him as the older Morse in "Inspector Morse." That show had two spin-offs, "Inspector Lewis" and "Endeavour." I love them all. Have you watched either of them yet? Also, the character, Dorothea Fraziel, is played by, Abigail Thaw, who's John Thaw's daughter and she looks just like him except she doesn't have John's gorgeous blue eyes.

Time for PBS to rerun Endeavour, Inspector Morse, and Inspector Lewis back to back to back!

I've just finished watching all 8 seasons for the second time. It grows on you, and they hold up well in rewatching. I can't always remember who the villain is! They're each so well done.

I wish more Morse... We wish series last forever.

I love this show, just watching it for the second time. Unfortunately, in Czech Republic, there is very difficult to watch brilliant tv series like this with the right sound. Midsummer misteries over and over again with czech sound. No Detective Morse, no Lewis (here Murders in Oxford) no Bergerac - nothing with the sound of origin. And I need czech subtitles. :-( What a pity.

why was it a mere 3 episodes ???

Of the 3 episodes in this season, this episode was my least favourite, compared to E2 which I loved. However it was Endeavour so I still enjoyed the whole season.
