Shaun Evans is indeed a great actor!

I absolutely love this show!

Oh how I love Roger Allam. Fred reminds me of my Dad in the 60's when we were kids. Pipe smoker, nicely dressed, a family man, decent. Great character

Lovely to see all the clothes for everyone!!!

The actors, scripts and setting all exceptional. One of the best series going.

I love this series. I usually have to see the same show several times because they are so complicated and I don’t want to miss anything.

I love the mustache look,one of the reasons for being my fav season..Don't know why people hate it...

Masterpiece cut out scenes from the original that was shown in England a few months ago, by cutting the scenes you totally lost the outcome of the demotions, at least 10 minutes were cut, the pelican commercial, the questioning of the bus driver and so on, thank goodness that I watched the series that was shown in Britain

Frank S. They showed the Pelican commercial briefly. The new guys were watching it on TV and laughing. Was there more to it? Don’t recall a bus driver.

@@angelaraber , in the British version the episode starts out with the pelican commercial showing the former superintendent tell kids running in the street to stop , press the button, wait for green and then cross for the ice cream truck, it is a sad ending to a great career, the whole point of it , it goes on to the next episode of Apollo, where Bright and Thursday are in the lounge area reminiscing about how time has passed them by, you will see

Frank S. Thank you. I kinda got that even though it was partly cut out. I think it’s just a plot device. Their situation will improve eventually but first there will be a lot of hardship and struggle. Should be an interesting season.

Masterpiece (PBS) has cut every Endeavour episode from the beginning. Sometimes the cuts are not too bad but other times the sense of a scene is lost. They cut whatever they believe is not necessary. Can't imaging how the directors and producers feel about that. I wrote to the station a few years back complaining. I received a reply telling me that everyone knows PBS cuts episodes to make room for their commercials. (Yes, we do have commercials, though that fact is not emphasised here in the states.) It was quite a snippy little letter. To avoid irritation, I now no longer watch PBS, but instead buy the DVD from BBC when it comes out with region 1. My nerves are much better now. I believe they must do this "cutting" with all their shows, so if you really love a program, buy the DVD.

I just wonder why the (classic) cars are always immaculate in series like this. In my seventies and eighties, with carwashes rare and expensive, most of the cars were dirty most of the time until they got their bi-weekly Sunday wash. The only series I saw recently where the cars are appropriately cruddy, is Grantchester.

If PBS cut out the pelican scene, it affects every episode. How bloody stupid is that?

Funny to see the today's older actors missing the 1950's 1960's interiors which have been replaced by 1970's stuff. As if they go through the same nostalgia and difficulties to adapt as 50 plussers probably had, when young designers came up with new interior architecture around the late 1960's: wood being replaced by plastic, the classic colours by yellows and orange, the clothes becoming more and more frivolous, the sideburns ridiculous, the chairs less comfortable. As a collector of old stuff, I also prefer by large the pre 1955 stuff, before the shapes became more and more cubustic (think refrigerators) etc.

Not surprised, BUT VERY SAD, if PBS or MASTERPIECE, cut parts from the program! Just 1 more reason I would💓to live in ENGLAND!!!!!

Is Endeavour dying his hair? It seems to be getting darker every episode. Series 1 light sandy colour, series 6 dark auburn. What's going on Morse?

so much detail shame the did not do all their homework filter tipped cigarettes where not smoked by the majority of men ,the poppy had a wire stem not plastic

Also I'm not sure plastic syringes were used back then I think they were still made of glass

I always thought the old Inspector Morse was a bit creepy with the younger women. I hope Endevour is not headed in that direction

I like Endeavour but I hate the mustache. I wasn't fond of this season in general - something too dark about the scripting. Anti-police? I suppose one runs out of ideas eventually.
