Having defeated Lt. Surge our party is now free to explore the Kanto region. Traveling through Diglett's cave to Oak's Assistants house where we learn the Secret Technique Light Up. Allowing easy traversal of the Rock Tunnel to the east. On the other side is Lavendar Town where a sad little Cubone needs help. On our mission to assist the adorable child we stumble upon a secret base of Team Rocket and finally meet their leader, Giovanni. This episode is very story heavy. But eventually we do get back to the challenge at hand, defeating the sweatheart Erika with an interesting pair of shiny Pokemon. If you look closely at the thumbnail you can get a sneak peek at one.
