Oooh... Now I know what to do in order to prevent the Gold colour from turning into another color... Thank you for this video Liz!
I recently had a nail tech file my nail so thin that it completely broke in half the day after I left the salon. It was so painful I decided I would never enter a nail salon again. I am so beyond grateful to have discovered your channel! I have learned everything I need to know to do my own nails! So tired of techs rushing and being careless! Not to mention nails cost a fortune where I live. THANK YOU!!!!

Amanda Meadors omg, that sounds horrific!!! Honestly, I’d contact an attorney and seek to file a personal injury law suit. That’s completely negligent if the person was a licensed nail tech!

Same here! And in watching this found a reason for a problem I've been having: my gelish top and case seem to move in the lamp even though they're fine before. Didnt realize thinner o self leveling would be the problem

@@littlelam3691 I'm pretty sure it's the point of negligence.. they get enough money to not rush and do things correctly
I know this was years ago but if you still read the comments thank you this was really informative also those fingers look scary real lol😅
Lol, I liked it when you said you could put some paper underneath that first nail to save your glitter. I watch another nail channel (which I love) but they're so wasteful with glitter! They always say "well, you're charging your customer for it so don't worry", but waste is waste. Why be wasteful if you can prevent it? Ok, rant over lol.
So glad to watch this. I didn't have lint free wipes found. Coffee filters worked great till I old get some.
If you cant afford 25 + shipping on the kantana you can find similar ones that do the same thing for under 5$ on Aliexpress For people that DONT have the money to spare. They work just the same and last just as long.
This was the most in depth video using nail art I've ever seen. Loved it. Thank you 😊

I pour my glitter over a cupcake paper. That way I can pour the excess back in to the jar.
I love encapsulation because I hate texture in my nails and beads always catch on my hair. With this I never have catching and its smooth to the touch!
THANK YOU!!!! Logically, I hesitantly knew to do some of this stuff the ways you did it, but you did them so effortlessly, and took it whatever silly unnecessary steps I put in lol. So helpful, thank you thank you thank you!!!! ❤
Thanks so much for this video. I was doing my own nails and wanted to get my glitter right. Sprinkling the glitter never came out right but using the brush worked perfectly.
I was unaware of the brand Katana until I had purchased a cheap knockoff. I like to support the original creator as well.
This has been the best nail art video I’ve ever seen. You are an amazing teacher. I’m hooked!

Hi, for the foil, after the second coat of get color, what did you use as the clear one? was it top coat or bond ?
I have a tray for all of my loose glitter. I use the mix for projects.
I use a sheet of photo paper when I mixing gels. 4 x 6 photo paper is non-toxic and safe, plus it is like $6 for 100 sheets, you can mix multiple sets on the same sheet, and use a pen to make dividing lines to prevent spillage. And when you are done with it, simply dispose.
O hi asked for this the other Day!! Thank u!! ❤️❤️❤️
You could also pat the glitter on with a brush or fan brush
Great video as always! The tip about the primer to help with scratches in the glitter was priceless ,now I know how to fix that. May I ask what product you used? Cheers from down under 🌺🐨

I love that nail length and shape. Do you have a video teaching that? Thank you for allowing all of us to learn.
What do you cleanser the red nail with?
i did the dry glitter method and the gel has a tendency to retreat from the edges of each hex of glitter as it shrinks with the cure, a little frustrating, i just ended up filling in with more layers and thickness
I’m obsessed with the pink mixing palette! Can I ask where you got it from?

Sorry never heard of it. Looks like a knock off of CND? Probably a Chinese product similar to Bluesky that is a cheap alternative to CND Shellac. These are common. In my personal humble opinion I would not buy it. Looks cheap and probably has cheap ingredients. But that's just my opinion. Ask them for an SDS sheet and check ingredients. If it contains more than 5% HEMA or contains Nitrocellulose it's going to be a waste of money.

I love that tip about going back into the lamp after you add the foil before top coat! I'm wondering, will this also work for a glitter fade? I find that I will brush my glitter to the tacky layer and love the fade I get but then I top coat and it moves it! will this tip help that as well??? thanks so much for the amazing info you provide!
@TheNailHub
4 жыл бұрын
For a glitter fade I would personally recommend mixing glitter into gel first and then creating the fade with your custom mix so you cut down on mess. But yes, any time you are covering the inhibition layer and you re-cure it helps to cure that now covered area and lock in what you have put on top. The inhibition layer (sticky layer) is in fact uncured gel so once it's covered it will cure.
