In what cases would you use liquid enamel vs sifting?

Hi Haze, thanks for commenting and subscribing. Well, it depends on what you are trying to achieve and what colours you want to use. Also, what texture you may want. Powdered enamels come in a HUGE variety of colours whereas there aren't that many nice colours in liquid enamel. Sifting dry enamel is also great when you use stencils a lot. Liquid enamel is great for using as a counter enamel because once it is dry, it won't drop off when you turn your piece over. So you can fire two sides at once to save time. Liquid enamel is not the same as painting enamel. In other words, it doesn't dissolve in the water, like paint, rather, it is suspended. This means you need to keep stirring otherwise the enamel particles drop to the bottom. It also means that you don't paint it on but sort of push it around. I'll do a video on this and explain it properly. So thanks for the question it is a good one and one worth delving into more.
