I watched this video in December 2009 and it was the first time I got to know about Empire Total War. At the end of the month, I downloaded the demo. Today (After 13 years) I am a die-hard fan of Empire Total war. Not only the Empire Total War but also most of the games in the Total War Series; such as Medieval, Rome, Napoleon, Shogun Total War etc... Thank you so much for this video ❤❤❤

This game is so epic.

Yep, I remember being clueless when I started playing Shogun 1 many years ago, had no bloody clue, but I still loved it, by the time Medieval came out I knew how to play it, but then Rome came, and the graphics and improved gameplay astounded me, in the battle of the RTW demo I didnt even care about the gameplay most of the time, I just looked at the 'pretty' and awesome battles. Total War games are good, but it is when they are all knew that they are truely loved.

I bought it for my Mac few hours ago and now it's installing! I can't wait for it!!! It looks awesome

I love it when the line infantryman goes flying across the screen, flipping end-over-end, then lands on his feet like a full mile from where he was before xD

I think the USA began as good nobel idea, but all those values and ideals of 1776 have been tossed into the garbage. Liberty for whom? for white anglo saxons, but not for slaves, women, natives or other monirities. Democracy? you call a two party system where the president is actually elected by a few eletoral magistrates a democracy? The ideas that non militarization was good; I agree, but what happened? Militarism has been impregnated into American society, and it's history can easily be describe in 4 words: Imperialism, racism, social discrimination. What happened to the idea of the Republic, or government from the people for the people, of non militarism, and what what happened to liberty? If you study American history as I have, you will understand this. yet,I have nothing bad to say about the American people, and to be honest there are good things the USA has going for it self. When I say study American history, I don't mean biased propagandist history thought in the USA.

it will run perfectly on your system this game is pretty old and as such doesn't take a whole lot of computing power to run well and in addition the game is coded very well in my opinion. I'm running a AMD 955 Black Edition clocked @ 3.8Ghz with 4 gigs of ram @ 1800mhz and 2 Sapphire 5770's in crossfire and the game runs like a champ so you should have no problem but if i may i would recommend that you get Darthmod Empire 8.0.1 Platinum and Empire Total Factions for a much better gameplay experience.

Gione Chow you should be able to run current and even future Total War Games with out any problems. BTW Empire and Napoleon are actually the same game more or less just a new coat of paint so to speak. But long story short TW games dont need a lot of horse power they are generally pretty well optimized. So you should be good to go.

Gione Chow Also just so you know i've played all the total war games since rome 1 and they have never been taxing in any way so. Also if you are ever unsure if you computer can run a game do a google search for CAN I RUN IT. and go to the first link. www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri it will analyze your computers hard ware and tell if and how well you can run a game. It will also give recommendations for what hardware to buy if your rig is not up to snuff.

I agree with you on that, it's clear that phalanx were a little too hard to break from the front. On the other if you only have a few troop on their flanks or rear you could decimate them very quickly. The trick was mostly to put you troops in the front on hold formation to slow down the fight and keep the phalanx busy while you flank them with flexible troops.

Several reasons: 1) College makes it rather necessary. It's very helpful. 2) Mobility. I can easily transport it from my home to other areas. 3) I can eat dinner in my kitchen with my laptop. So, you see, it's better with a laptop.

Yes it's clear that a Total War Rome 2 would be a nice addition to the series and we can only hope that it will bring back asymmetric battles like in the original where each factions has specificity.

Yes. There's the grand campaign featuring Europe, the Americas, and India which includes a sophistcated array of management options and tools for your nation, not just simply battling. Also custom battles, both land and sea, where you can basically sparr with the computer for fun.

I love RTS games like Age of Empires, Empire Earth, Command & Conquer/Red Alert, Stronghold, etc, etc.....but I've just never been able to really get into the Total War series. In all fairness, I haven't really given the game a chance (I've played only 1-2 times) & it does look amazing. Maybe later I will try it again. I think a Total War: Imperialism might be cool. Like from 1880 - 1918. Machine guns, Tanks, Airplanes, Artillery, etc. WW1 stuff. Also have tribal factions like Zulus, etc.

I love the Total War gaes. There are so many eras and areas they could focus on in future installments. We could have one based on the warring states of Italy during the Medieval or Rennaisance periods. The city-states of ancient Greece. Hell, if the manage to successfully incorporate rapid-fire guns and tanks into the games we may even have games set in the two world wars at some point. Here's hoping.

Correction: The Nvidea Gforce 9100 is actually an integrated card so not sure if they plug into graphic slots. So It looks like the Nvidea GTX 580 is the card to go for. It's....somewhat more pricier though.

Yes you can, its how i play it. All total war games play on windows 7 perfectly. The only ones i havent personally tested were the original shogun and medieval

Rome Total War had the benefit of having asymmetric warfare with many unique factions, while the following title went toward more and more clone armies fighting each other.

There is this mod called "Darth Mod" that adds 20 or so factions.
