I'm glad you worded it like you did, an amazing humambeing... I think some people think that just because someone is a celebrity, they stop being human and no longer have the same basic needs, emotions, and feelings as we do. They are not merely objects to entertain us. Each of us hold the capability to be amazing on some level in some way. Thank you again!!!

My dad died on this very date 5 years ago. He was an Elvis fan too, like Dan's father, and i grew up with Elvis and have been a fan all my life. Watching Dan fight his way through this song, hearing the pain in his voice, and seeing the agony in his eyes, makes me cry every single time.

This one is so hard to watch because of the emotional background to it as Dan's tribute to his Dad after passing away from cancer just before. Watching Dan muscle through this and still making it so beautiful through the tears and struggle, his eyes lifted up to Heaven, etc, just grips my heart every time. I rarely make it through w/o a few tears & I don't know how he did it. Even though it's been nearly 8 yrs now, it does make you want to hug him. I wish Dan's Dad could have lived to see his son's success, but he's got to be smiling from heaven and thinking, "I'm proud of you, my son."

The raw heart-felt emotion, crying through the tears clearly demonstrates the pain Dan feels for the very recent passing at that time of his beloved father, Roberto. The sheer will power he exhibits in pushing through is admirable. Losing a loving father brands us for the time to come. God bless Dan for his incredible fortitude. Glory glory glory Hallelujah 🙏

I so admire Dan for doing this tribute to his father. It shows what a man of worth is really like. Dan mentioned one time that he so regretted that his Dad did not get to see him become a success before he passed. He had only just started to see a little when this happened. We all know that his Father believed in him and has to be so proud, looking down from heaven. Your reaction was touching. I do dread the first Saturday that rolls around and there is no Dan video, but I completely understand that you need to do what is best for your business. You have brought us so many wonderful reactions and I know you will continue to do so when you can. Thanks.

Hail to Viking for another brilliant reaction video to Dan Vasc’s tender tribute. Dan sang this perfectly, even through the tears. Viking, I understand if you need to change SaturDANdays, and I trust you know what you need to do with that, and of course will understand….but this girl here does love our SaturDANdays! I want to thank you for each and every one, and not take any of them for granted. I cannot imagine actual people complaining about you doing “too much of Dan”…please verify that they are people, because they might be the same group who voted for Biden, lol! It could also be A.I. Robotards, or things that look like people, but they have a barcode and sku number!!! 🤣 I love and appreciate you, brother, and I want you to know that! Have an epically joy-filled day!! Boa tarde! Even though I am only battling leftovers of that, I was still fighting (often in tears) to get my singing voice back. Thanks to Dan taking the world by storm with "Amazing Grace," that battle gets easier and easier every day. I don't know anyone who doesn't love this, dedicated to his father. And so many feel a relation to their own lives. My dad died from cancer and I didn't have the chance to say goodbye. My nephews father died in an accident shortly before his 5th birthday (I had the boy with me then). All men in our family are already on the other side - some of them gone in their 30ies. And I'm only one among a lot of people with similar stories, so yes, this rendition can really have a cathartic effect. Thank you for your authentic reaction. ❤🎶

And for your asking for other artists: What about the Austrian band "Visions of Atlantis" - for example their newly released video to "Tonight I'm Alive"? I think you will like it. 🎶

My heart just aches for Dan. How he recorded this so soon after losing his precious papa. The tears on his cheeks and filling his eyes.... Dan is a true man, and I pray my daughters marry men of such character. Oh and if you're looking for new material to review, may I suggest Johnny Cash?

This particular cover should come with the warning that we need a box of tissues. Oh my gosh. I'm crying. It is amazing that he made it thru. I didn't.

@@VikingReactsit happens to me too. I'm so glad that he isn't afraid to show us his emotions. Too many guys won't. Makes him more human. When I go thru my playlist I make sure there is a full box of tissues. There are a couple of his covers that bring tears to the eyes.

I have nobody in my life that truly gets it… maybe my dad but I do not see him that often as he lives quite far away. But he would be the closest I think. But that is the beauty of this channel… I found all of you to share this with!

I had already been emoting, myself, right from the beginning, as always, when I hear it. Also, chills. Then, at 4:26, you encouraged Dan, "...you'll get through with it..." and I gasped. Even when I heard this for the very first time (not long after I first heard "Amazing Grace") I did the same thing...multiple times. I still do...every time. I encourage him all the way through, with things like, "It's OK, Dan. You can do it! You know he's watching and listening. I see you looking up at him while he's looking down at you." Then, at the end, "You did it, Dan! WOW!" I can't help it! Every single emotion he puts into that song, just POURS back out to those of us watching...no matter how many times we watch. THEN...you started talking about music, and how it affects life (and the reverse). I was JUST making a similar comment less than 24 hours ago, on another reaction channel, regarding the fact that every single person is made with music inside. The ongoing conversation had been that God only gives CERTAIN people the ABILITY to sing. Not so! God created ALL mankind to sing. Every single person, regardless of who, where, when, or why (being created in God's image) were given MUSIC WITHIN. It doesn't matter HOW we sing, or if it SOUNDS musical to others. The ability is there, and God hears every single bit of it. Without going into further details, here are a few quick (paraphrased) lines about how, for instance, God gets human beings through life...even battles...from Psalm 68... www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+68&version=NKJV Verse 4... Sing to God, sing praises to His name; extol (honor, announce, praise) Him who rides on the clouds, by His name Yah {Yahweh}, and rejoice before Him. Verses 25-26... The singers went before {at the front of the procession}, the players on instruments followed after; among them were the maidens playing timbrels. Bless God in the congregations {the gatherings}...the Lord, from "the fountain of Israel". {Also called "the Fountain that will never run dry".} Verse 32... Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth; oh, sing praises to the Lord {think about and dwell on that}, and to Him who rides on (fills) the heaven of heavens, which were of old {because He MADE them}! - - - - - - - - - - Daniel (the creator of that psalm -- which means the words were originally sung) knew exactly how to have a conversation with God, and how to tell about it, from the time he was very little. - - - - - - - - - - So has THIS Daniel. He says that he started singing in whatever words he had, from inside, when he was younger than two. There's much more to that story. Honestly, nobody may have noted that type of thing for some people, but it definitely happens. It's part of my own story. I had parents who understood and fostered the singing. Dan had parents who understood and fostered the singing. Others do not...there's the difference. - - - - - - - - - - It's entirely understandable that Dan did this tribute to his dad, IN SONG. Both his dad and the song, will continue to live within him...forever. In the meantime, when we see and hear it, we get to join in that tribute, and appreciate Dan's music even more than we may have to begin with.

Hi Viking, love all your reactions, but this was special. This was my Dad’s favourite song and I had it on my playlist after he died at the age of 56, 30 years ago at the end of this month. Finding Dan’s cover and then realising he had just lost his Dad,brought it all back to me,but listening to Dans version is a lovely but emotional reminder for me. I felt his pain.

😢 I wanted such a father - daughter relation, but I wasn't even welcome when he got sick and after trying to reach out to him. And even at his funeral I was not welcome. I cried listening to the sadness in Dan's voice...what a grief...
