Emotional Intelligence: Using the Laws of Attraction | D. Ivan Young | TEDxLSCTomball

The "Laws of Attraction" are real; inasmuch, there is a Divine Component. Connecting Personality Type to The Laws of Attraction positions you for immediate manifestation of your desires while unleashing your preordained purpose. Your Creator gave you a unique Personality Type for a reason.
There are many words that describe Dr. D Ivan Young, but here are the few that I chose - discerning, enlightened, a spiritual teacher and sagacious philosopher. Seldom does someone possess the ability to connect, at a core level, to impact so many different and varying people. His witty insight into how, and moreover why, people do the things they do is astonishing. Having known Dr. Young for a few years, never have I seen him at a loss for words or searching for an answer. His compassion, his love, and his authentic way of communicating to us exactly what we need to hear and when we need to hear it has profoundly changed my life, and the lives of everyone I’ve witnessed him come in contact with.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

Summary - - Spend more time thinking about things you want - Stop being anxious about past and future and operate in right now. - You will train your subconscious mind to manifest your desires - Everything happens for a reason - Examine every moment for its meaning - what is this supposed to teach me right now? - Stop being reactive become proactive - Don’t listen to respond, listen to understand - Always ask why? Why am I doing what I am doing? - Passion, purpose, presence - Feel, Believe, Receive - That what you seek, that what you desire, is equally seeking you.

@@jolieandrus9936 I feel like a good start is finding what your passionate about and really want out of life. Focusing on one thing at a time until you achieve it rather then trying to achieve multiple things at once. Just take some time to think about what you really want and what it means to you. Why do you want what you want? The key is truly wanting it. If you desire it and seek it, it has no choice but to come at some point. That sang "if you go looking for trouble your going to find it" is no different. Go find what you want.

I’m becoming emotionally intelligent! One way I keep my mind on track is playing these TED talks. I started a new job and I’ve been doing all these steps unknowingly in my day to day life. I sometimes feel silly, being so foreign to the social world at my age (24), but I stay motivated and keep pushing because I want to! Not because I have to. Life is awesome, we are lucky to get to work on these things!

Exactly. All religions have some form of belief in this. I feel foolish saying this but...I fought against this belief for years. I didnt start believing in the possibility of it until about 2 years ago. I thought I was losing my mind bc things I thought about and told no one started playing out in my life. I thought a huge prank was being played on me tbh.. Thing is, sometimes God will draw ppl to u and vice versa. If you're on the same vibration then I believe clarity and understanding is just sharper.

Example: I don't like people that complain, yet you may find yourself complaining all the time about traffic or your neighbors. Example: you don't like nosey people or a person, yet you read tabloids or gossip sites. There's a part of you being reflected in people that gravitate towards you. Constantly thinking positively and about what you want to achieve will make you more likely to achieve it but it doesn't mean it'll just automatically come to you. Thinking positively means you won't give up and you'll be less afraid to try. Always thinking about what you want to achieve helps you come up with new ideas, but ultimately it's still down to you to do everything. I can't believe how many people buy into the idea that they can change the universe buy doing nothing other than thinking about it.

Take Away Points - -Like attracts like expectations -What you you feel/consistently think about, you will get -Monitor what you think about (Thoughts + Feelings = Manifestations) -Learn to master your subconscious mind, be sensitive to your surroundings & circumstances -Operate right now, do not stress over the past or future and your subconscious mind will manifest the things you desire -Everything in your life happens for a reason, ask yourself why. -Why am I doing this? What motivates me to do this? -Don't wait for an answer - meditate. The better you feel about something, the more you do it -Be willing to examine every moment for it's meaning. What is this moment trying to teach you right now? -Stop being reactive, become more proactive -Seek Truth -Confront yourself and others -Passion, Purpose, Presence -Feel, Believe Receive -Run on faith - without seeing outcomes but knowing you will get the results you desire -That which you seek, that which you desire, that which you long for, is equally seeking you.

From this video, I've learned about the concept of connecting personality type to the laws of attraction and how it can lead to the manifestation of desires and the fulfillment of one's purpose. Dr. D Ivan Young's perspective on the divine component of the laws of attraction resonates with me, as it emphasizes the importance of understanding oneself and aligning with one's unique personality type to attract what is desired in life. His ability to connect with people on a deep level and offer insightful wisdom is truly remarkable. I appreciate his compassionate and authentic communication style, which has the power to positively impact lives.

I have often worried that most men simply lacked the capacity to be emotionally intelligent, to quiet the mind and be proactive instead of reactive as Dr. Young mentioned. But you are correct Dr. Young. I have merely been here like a sitting duck allowing myself to feel almost victimized and unwilling to attract men who have embraced the capacity you have studied and practiced. But with your reminder, I am now ready to begin seeking out the men that I know exist who can open themselves up and discuss emotions the way that we believe is healthy. Thanks Doc!

I have explored, travelled, discovered and looked all over the place for wisdom. I've ventured deep into the depths of philosophy, religion and science. I have taken in so much information but somehow this was different. When you listen, you can choose to do three things: You can Ignore, you can acknowledge or you can believe. Ignorance will only keep you running from the things that you need most. Acknowledgement is observing the wisdom but letting it pass right by. It is wise, but it isn't adventurous. It is serene, but it isn't life-changing. Believe in that knowledge, embrace that wisdom. This video helped me to do just that - to embrace, and I'd just like to mention that I am incredibly thankful that this man shared such divine wisdom in such a kind and understanding way. All the best to everyone xxx

Adding onto his mention of meditation, I do think being silent is the best way to sort out our desires and thoughts, but you don't have to sit down and not move for half an hour to get the benefits. I find showering to be really meditative, because I'm blocked from all distractions and the loud background noise of the shower blocks out my loudest thoughts and allows me to think about things that have been in the back of my mind all day. Just doing any physical task where it doesn't require you to think to do it is a good way to get that meditation in, like working out alone in a room or taking walks outside alone. By allowing yourself to be alone and silent you make yourself one step closer to figuring you and your desires out, which will help you on your path to success.

Loved the end ''What you seek is equally seeking you.'' It is such an interesting world, this world of feelings and emotions. From his book Emotional Alchemy the Love and Freedom Hidden within Painful Feelings.

I've been surrounded by people who say i can't when i feel the burning "yes i can". It also had me reflect on my negative experiences with people and really back up to think about why i feel this and what bothers me about it so much. Being able to find the similarities between you and the person you can't stand is one of the hardest things to reflect on if you aren't prepared for it and now i do feel prepared! Thank you!

I was so touched by the word "That what you seek, that what you desire, that what you long for, is equally seeking YOU!” "It takes effort to be successful, but the greatest effort is mastering how you use your mind" Excellent message! Words and thoughts of encouragement, specifically targeted, can help a person change his/her life. You may never know how many people took the rope from their neck and stepped down from the chair because your words helped to revive their hope. May all who care enough to share be granted safe and prosperous passage through this life. The better you feel about it, the more you should do it. 1.Emotional intelligence is the clarity about the situation that has occurred. 2.We put our emotion into things that we are thinking. 3. Monitore what you think about 🤔 4. Don't focus on negative things get rid of it 5. Understand that the conscious thinking is not the solution. 6. There are no accidents Master Oogway. 7. If you struggle with something ask why this is happening to me ? Why now? Why me? What should I learn from it? 8. Meditate Find time to stay quiet to stay with your own thoughts. 9. Seek the truth. I'm constantly bombarded by negative thoughts surrounding my relationship with my parents & own self esteem that I believe they rubbed off on me. I constantly focus on the person I want to be and the relationships that I want to archive, because I know that it lies somewhere within me to live up to my full potential and intelligence. I wouldn't want something this badly if it wasn't within my abilities to manifest. I've been practicing positive thinking and visualizing what it is exactly I want but so far I've seen minimal change...I have to keep trying though because it's all I have left. I'm really hoping with perseverance & intent, this will pay off.

His Ph.D is in Holistic Life Coaching from a sketchy unaccredited online ministerial “university” (University of Sedona). Their Ph.D program takes about six months to complete, and requires no scientific rigor since it is a “purely spiritual institution” that has no “secular subjects like Calculus, English, Biology, Chemistry, Math, and so on...” Literally anyone can get a “degree” from that “school” if they have the money. So I wouldn’t consider this man an expert by any means. Most people do more robust research in their undergrad degrees from a normal school than a person pursing a Ph.D from the University of Sedona.
