Emorett Tries Australian Snacks

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Our Favorite Video of Emorett trying snacks… yay Australia Snacks!
We finally filmed another video with Emorett, our 2 year old toddler tasting Australian snacks. The snack boxes were purchased online and that first box was filled to the brim with so many snacks like chips, crackers, chocolate and so much more. If you’re going to buy the Australian snack box, the candy snacks come in 3’s. So it was perfect for us haha. Emorett was most impressed with any cheese snacks, chocolate peanut candy, and all the Tim Tams. Trying snacks and food from different cultures and regions is so much fun with Emorett and he looks forward to the day when we film together. He keeps asking, “mommy, film snacks?”

The Choc’s in the yellow wrappers are called Fantales and they have little facts about celebrities on them. Been around for as long as I remember. Veggie, put it on hot toast with butter 👩‍🍳💋. And with the Timtams, you need to try a Timtam slam, bite off opposing corners and use it as a straw with a coffee, so good.

We call our candy “lollies” in Australia 😊 I think most of us would agree with you that the little biscuits are all seriously lacking in flavour. They’re nothing like they used to be when they were first produced. Largely marketed at kids now so they keep the flavouring at a minimum. Australia is so happy you tried our snacks! 🇦🇺 Try a Cadbury crunchie bar next time Andrey!

I'd love to send some. Xò

Can’t believe they didn’t include Tim tam double coat - it’s easily the best! Also, bite off one corner then the diagonally opposite corner, dip one bitten off corner into a hot drink and slurp through the other bitten off corner then eat the whole biscuit before it disintegrates completely- amazeballs!! #TimTamSlam #TimTamStraw so good! 🤤

As an Aussie from Australia I grew up with all of these. Shapes definitely need more flavouring on them. Everyone well mention tim tam slamming those Tim tams. Violet crumbles are a better version of a crunchy bar they are my favourite as well. Allen's are the high quality gummy Candy that everyone goes for the pineapple lollies are the best. The minties should have funny little pictures on them. The chocolate covered caramels that were small are fantales and have little blurbs about celebrities on them. You have to thread the cheezels on your fingers like rings then eat them off of your fingers. We have actual Snickers bars in Australia but I think picnic bars are far better. I use to eat Vegemite by just licking it off the spoon. Aussie snacks are the best so glad you got to try them.

There is a trick to eating Tim Tams among the Aussies. You bight off a wee bit off of one, then bite off the bottom-opposite corner. Get a glass of milk and dip the Tim Tam into milk. Now use it as a straw and sip the milk through the cookie into your mouth, then eat the cookie quickly. I am told the chocolate cookies get gooey and taste like a brownie. So the Aussies use milk, but I have seen Americans use hot chocolate!

I'm glad you liked my country's snacks! There are quite a few different flavours of tim tam now; my favourite are the double coat ones but the chewy caramel are quite nice too. There's also a salted caramel one which is not bad, and then they have fancier ones like butterscotch, salted caramel brownie and dark chocolate mint. There are probably a few others i'm forgetting lol. Also, i too love Violet Crumbles - i cant have them in the house as i will end up eating them until i feel sick 😅

Australian snacks are made using mostly natural ingredients, hence they taste different to the highly processed ingredients that the US uses. Vegemite is generally eaten at breakfast on buttered toast and spread lightly or on a buttered sandwich with cheddar cheese slices

  • @-nellie-m3711
    @-nellie-m3711 Жыл бұрын

Try the TimTams dipped in your coffee and suck it up through the cracker (biscuit) it’s a taste all on it’s own, if you like the biscuits and you like coffee, then you’ll like eating them this way, many Australians eat them like that, most of the foods you purchased from Australia 🇦🇺 you can actually purchase them in the USA 🇺🇸, they’re just called something else, that’s what we found when we’ve travelled to the USA 🇺🇸 and tasted different foods over there that look the same but just packaged differently from your local grocery stores, Vegemite is a required taste best on fresh crispy toast and lots of butter and just a little bit of the Vegemite because it’s even too salty for my liking. 🇦🇺

Try a Tim Tam Slam - make a hot chocolate or hot milky tea. Nibble off two opposite corners of the Tim tam. Drink the hot drink through the Tim tam like it’s a straw (just one slurp). Then immediately eat the Tim tam. It will be all melted on the inside and so delicious. This is a common thing we do with Tim tams.

Living in Australia 🇦🇺 my whole 63 years of life, I’ve never called it “Aussie” or “Stray-ya” Lol 😂 and most of these snacks are sold in the USA 🇺🇸 only they have different names, but exactly the same taste…just from our experience when travelling to different states of the USA 🇺🇸…!!!! You just have to know where to find them. It’s funny because I have a lot of friends from the USA 🇺🇸 that are scared of our animals here, yet they have more animals over there that we encountered that I was scared of Lol 😂, like Bears, Alligators, snakes and many other creatures, I tell my friends that if you see a spider here, you just Stomp on it Lol 😂 and I don’t have kangaroos 🦘 hoping down the main streets of where I live in the city Lol 😂. Some of them think they’ll be attacked by wild animals Lol 😂, it’s So Funny 😂

@-Nellie -m I don't call it Straya either, but I know many that do or say we're an Aussie/Ozzie pronunciation, not the way they say in the states. I've family in Canada and friends in Chicago, Tennessee, and Florida, and I've been educating them 🤣🤣. I also said the same about bears, alligators, rattle snakes, scorpions and cougars, and kyotes, etc. Fk that! I've never seen half of the spiders and snakes, etc, that they fear so much. Also, they tend to have more shark attacks too. I've tried explaining this, and some of them are adamant that Australia will kill you and that we have redbacks in our houses all over the places and snakes in our bathrooms and kangaroos in the backyard 🤣🤣. It is really funny. I've been here over 35 years, and when they say "G'day mate" on the internet and try to impersonate us, they get it SO wrong. I've made up packages to send to Canada and US for these friends with tacky, funny tourist crap like cheap stuff and some traditional snacks and other bits and pieces. It should be fun. Kall me Kris does the best snack testing and does Australia, and she loves a lot of it but hated the Violet Crumble and loved the Crunchie, and I agree with her. She also tried Vegemite on hot buttered toast with a TINY amount as you're meant to. And she didn't hate it. I watched another KZreadr dip a BBQ shape into a jar of Vegemite, and it was loaded up. They ate it and spat it out, and I was like Nooooooo! That's enough for 4 slices of toast!

@@everogersdownunder1242 Same, I couldn’t agree more with you Lol 😂, I’ve never seen hardly any of the creatures that there scared of, I just get a good laugh out of them, the same with Vegemite, some might like it thick but it’s not the way I like to eat it, most of the things they shared from Australia 🇦🇺 don’t taste as good as they once did years ago…😊
