I feel a mixture of enjoyment and self depreciation hearing this... a musician's journey is always full of reminders of how little we are in the world of music and how the very best and most dedicated thrive.
To say this is at a high level would be an understatement.
That transition to Ugetsu, incredible!
Joe is so swinging wow.

🔥 As always, such a great performance !! I came here from the following Bolivia video of Japanese-US united band': kzread.info/dash/bejne/lGyNuKhmXbSveMY.html They sound insanely good and I hope they get a chance to play with Emmet some day. Patrick Bartley has already played together with some of faculty members and alumni pros of Koyo School of Music in Japan. Namely, the bassist Ryo Miyachi, the drummer Natsumi Inokuchi, and the trumpet player Miki Hirose.

@@kaiwong3910 Thanks, I just noticed he _is_ listed in the credits that appear for about a second near the end of the video. Two Ls at the end of his first name as well as his second.
drums are way too hot in the mix

Idk, I can hear the piano and bass perfectly. Joe should be a bit forward in the mix, he sounds great, Arthur Taylor vibes.

I can't complain, it improved hugely since the early Live at Emmet's

A lot of sizzle in the high ends, but the mix is as clean as it gets!

yup, surprised nobody else pointed that out lol
Not playing the right intervals and the rhythmical writing of this Theme so singular (to me) left me, how can I say, ... like looking at a cake and not being sure whether it is a chocolate or carrot cake...
