Sad thing about Dan's jail sentence is that we'll never see him appeal the judge's decision, see his niece while serving time for doing the right thing in protecting his family, or see him in jail serving time as the actor, Liam Fox, has left the show.

Poor Dan and Amelia. Dan didn't deserve 8 years in prison because he was looking out for his daughter and any parent would protect their sons/daughters from danger. 😢

No the judge is following the law and Lloyd ain't on trial and you think the judge is going to take someone word when there js no evidence, witnesses os statement aye. Don't think you grasp the concept of how a trial works and also doesn't matter what Lloyd said law doesn't tell you to assault someone and kill them

No offence but it was obvious it wasn’t going to be 3 years from the start

As for Emmerdale's producers and directors, they should be ashamed of themselves, not only for giving Dan Spencer a heavy handed sentence, but for never showing what the character will experience while in jail, whether or not he will appeal the Judge's sentence or conviction, or whether or not he will see his daughter/niece as the actor, Liam Fox, has left the show. If that happened on Coronation Street, we would see what the character faces while in jail serving their time, their opportunity to see love ones, and possibly be cleared of their crimes like they did for Dierdre Rachid Barlow, Tracy Barlow, David Platt, Roy Cropper, Hayley Cropper, etc.

He didn't take full responsibility because he only pleaded guilty for gbh and that was his trial he got 8 years because murder is added on top of the his latest conviction so 8 years is bang on

Dan will probably do half of the 8 years but it's still amelia's fault dan did worn her about online but she didn't listen to him dan still shouldn't have punched Lloyd all it takes is just one punch yeah you want to protect your kids but you still shouldn't punch or harm someone like that because now amelia won't get justice and of course they could have had a woman stalk amelia but no they went this way yes i know it happens in real life but you know what women stalk women so they could have done that but it's 2023

It always strikes me that the police in soaps really aren't very bright. I'm sure if they'd dug deeper into the accusations against Lloyd they would have found something incriminating. If police investigations into any of the crimes and murders that have happened in Emmerdale had been really thorough, half of the villagers would be behind bars!
