You are amazing Emma, thank you for sharing your story. I too am currently going through my chemotherapy tablets journey after being diagnosed with bowel cancer last July. I had my operation in October and i will be on chemotherapy tablets until the end of June. My wife sadly passed from cancer 6 years ago so im fighting my hardest not to leave our 2 children parentless. Stories like yours help on my dark days. I wish you and your family long happy healthy lives. Thank you. 🙏🏼❤
Holy crap, she got the run around. Such a young positive lady.
Thank you for sharing your story. Why do most GPs just ignore and fob the patient off, they just arent interested in their patients concerns nowadays. I'm so happy for you, that you are cancer free. Have a beautiful future with your wonderful family xxx ❤

I can only imagine it is cost cutting.
Thanks for sharing your story. These GPs so concerned with saving money rather than actually listening to what the symptoms are.

Im waiting for a colonoscopy- was told 16 months ago, during a 1 minute consultation i had ibs !! I wont be too pleased if its anything serious. Its high time the NHS GOT BACK TO WORK!
My story is very similar to yours. My diagnosis also took long, despite having all the symptoms, because of my age my GP did not think of cancer. The fear of it coming back is very scary and I hope it gets better with time.
OMG what a strong woman you are. Can't even imagine going through what you have been through. Covid almost paled to your situation ❤️
BRAVO!!!! You have done a great service for all the world! I pray that going forward, you will enjoy your family and share your attitude and bravery with many others going through the same thing! !
I am a CRC survivor but I had to harass my doctor to get testing. I had reoccurrence CRC. Thank you for sharing your story. Please everyone, listen to your body and NOT your doctors when they try to dismiss your concerns. please push for testing. May you all be healthy and happy. 💙💙💙💙

Thank you, Emma. 💝
Too much delay between seeing your Doctor and the diagnosis My Mother had Colon Cancer and was diagnosed immediately She had surgery and got a stoma Refused Chemo Lived a long healthy life well into her nineties
Very good luck as your future unfolds. It is a brave thing to do to tell the explicit truth of your story. I must be truthful. I am incredulous that not one GP went directly to colonoscopy with your symptoms and family history.
How brave. Good wishes and good health to you and all your family.
Good luck with your cancer ! my wife had a similar problem we waisted 3 months trying to convince our doctor or should i say the receptionist that we needed to see a doctor & that we needed a CT scan ! this was our surgery in Glastonbury! the moment this was done she had a CT scan an emergency operation ! Why do Doctor’s not want to see ill people anymore??? we are now facing a forever treatment situation 😞

Nhs cut backs. It's awful isn't it.
The age for colon / rectal cancer has dropped down to people as young as 22 , 20 younger. So don’t let any doctor put you off by saying “you are too young”. Also Hemorrhoids (piles) bleeding is different then cancer bleeding. But you should check it out. Always speak up for yourself. Doctors aren’t god. They don’t have all the answers especially right away. Just think if you would have gone on letting your drs. treat you with creams . Positive thoughts for strength and healing from California.

You are amazing !!! ❤️
Thankyou for sharing this story , i came across it , as on the 26th i have to have a colonoscopy. Im 57. Only tiny spots of blood , lots of mucus , leakage, constipation/ diarrhoea, dizzy spells. Im absolutely petrified ( this video has given me strength. Best wishes honey to you and your family God Bless you x
Seems to be the same story for so many. My partner also was originally told it was just constipation, only for a friend's referral eventually a female doctor immediately ordered a colonoscopy & then he was diagnosed. He has since passed but i do wonder if it was caught sooner would the outcome be different. Sending you positive energy & thanks for sharing your story💕

Beautiful woman, thank you for sharing 💚💚💚💚
You are amazing I wish you well
I understand your heartfelt plea to "check your poo "but what exactly should we be checking for, what do we look for that is suspicious? Thank you Emma for sharing your story.

Only way to be sure is through a fecal occult poop test. That's how I got told I had blood in stool. Occult means not visible to the naked eye.
Hello nice to meet you Sorry for what you are going through New Subscriber here from Amman Jordan Middle East All the best
Bless you and gives God the Praise 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Sorry, the doctors in Great Britain must be really really bad for this is not the first story I hear of patients misdiagnosed for months even years with bowl cancer. If you have blood in your stool you have to have a colonoscopy, that is state of the art. Blood in the stool is highly suspicious for bowl cancer.

Hi Been through exact situation as yourself Had my surgery in may just before you. Feeling and thinking same also especially the worry of it returning Not had any tests yet which is also worrying as in the past they had been Mri,ct and colonoscopy every three months. Has your consultant explained what will be happening for future appointments I.e is it just colonoscopies every 12 months from now on and nothing in between. Glad you are doing well and coping with your stoma 🤞

I'm having same isues, I'm 41, seen gp many times but just says it's nothing. When I asked to he refered to gastrointestinal doctor, he says do u want to be on waiting list for a year?
Why are Doctors no longer wanting to see people any more thats what i find in our Glastonbury surgery! my wife was sick it took 3 months to get a proper CT scan instant operation & now if we are lucky the rest of her life on treatment a earlier scan may well of meant a cure unfortunately we will never know & my wife of 49 years is suffering ! which i watch everyday😞
Was you in a lot of pain when you got a bag put on just after the operation?
Genuinely curious, how do you have a colonoscopy now?!

Patients have to advocate for themselves, you had all the signs AND symptoms. Drs will minimize, even gas light. I've seen this time AND time again, Dr neglect, and its happening w/the young. You toughed it out, and now no cancer.
The amount of shite that's put in our food is absolutely to blame for cases like these.
WHY THE DONT THESE STUPID GPS, JUST GIVE THEIR PATIENTS A "FIT" STOOL TEST. THIS WILL AT LEAST DETECT SOMETHING DANGEROUS IN THE EARLY STAGES, INSTEAD OF SENDING THEM WHEN THEY ARE AT STAGE 3 OR 4,
Hi Emma, are you okay now? X

Colon and bowel are used interchangeably.
Colonoscopy should had been the first thing they should had done first. They did all those things while the cancer was spreading. No bleeding from your rectum is normal. Sounds like she had some quack dr
Are you rocking

Pardon?
Why do doctors lie 🙄 😕 about piles ?
Yor doctor was negligent
Why are you awake for the colonoscopy?
If you recite the following prayer 400 or 2000 times, all your diseases will be cured by the grace of Allah (all glory and praise be to Him). "O Allah, send prayers, peace and blessings upon our Master Muhammad, the medicine of hearts and their treatment, the soundness of bodies and their cure, the light of vision and its illumination, the spirit of all spirits and the secret of their endurance."
