Yeah but hes one of the producers and choreographs alot of the Sunday show etc so i think they do it deliberately so he goes out early! Maybe he wanted a year off!

I thought she was a bit underscored. She really CAN dance, and I would have given her a 7 for her musicality and her sharp kicks and flicks. My only real criticism is that she could have danced down into the floor more and could have put just a bit more bounce into her steps to match Anton's. Still, she's got potential. Let's see what she does in Ballroom, since that's Anton's element.

I don't mean it to sound to vulgar, but she needs to keep her legs together a bit more, especially in turns. I think it looked laboured at points because she was arriving a little late into each position. Being a bit more compact in the legs would have made the routine look much more polished.

In the 1960's there was a Group called Honey & The Bees. They epitomized what was probably Northern Soul from Philadelphia, PA that the Brits kept alive. God Bless You all. I first heard Honey Honey and I loved it from Mamma Mia. Agnetha & Frida were great singers but their Stage Presence wasn't always smooth.

Grossly undermarked.

Love them! Why is Anton so darn cute?!

I really liked this routine and think Emma has lots of potential. Anton looked as if he really enjoyed this dance. Can't wait to see them dance ballroom.

Who else thinks that Anton looks like Rob Brydon? Also, I think Shirley was so unnecessarily rude to Emma and Anton.

I missed what they said .what did she say. ? I think they already have their faves, it went from giving scores as low as 3 for the first dance which was too low in my opinion till then suddenly giving 7 and 8s to others who didn't all deserve them.

@@ljc6535 Emma B's dance wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst, and Shirley just made it sound like if it was the worst dance of the night. She wasn't that rude or nasty towards the other contestants.

@@ljc6535 - Shirley said something like 'you're a natural performer and all that but now that's out of the way' ..... then tore into her and everything she'd done wrong. It was totally out of synch with how she'd been with everyone else. Emma and Anton weren't the best of the night but they certainly weren't the worst. It's only week 1, Shirley sounded rude.

Emma has a lot of potential i think she is going to far in the competition this was a very competent routine thought the intro was a little long but overall i think she has what it takes to be a dark horse in the competition i could see her being Stacey type of contestant overall i thought she was under marked that 5 was kind of ridiculous there could have been some 7s in there overall my score 6.5/10

Is it just me, or has Anton aged backwards. 💕- he is so energetic

Emma looked so nervous here, but when she embraced it, it was good. Anton gives good jive and hopefully, she’ll be better next week with ballroom.

She can actually dance!! I think there's a lot of great potential there, as she grows stronger she'll get better. I'm so glad for Anton that he's been given a decent partner and not just a dud, but I also feel a bit bad because this year's competition is SO strong! Nearly everybody seems equally matched and I think had Anton been given her as a partner another year he would've got far, but I reckon she's gonna have some fierce competition and will get knocked out sooner. This years debut dances have been off the scale, when I first saw the line up, I didn't expect much, but they were all really surprising!

I think Shirley's comment was rather mean, I thought it was underscored and I really hope Emma goes far with Anton because after this performance there definitely is a lot of potential to get really good marks, great job and keep it up.

To me she seems to think it's a real competition n not a fun entertainment one. It like also he thinks theses celebrities are going to be dancers after the show. I know she is a hard judge but she needs to remember it's fun not a real competition that your going to keep on doing years after.

@@tinkeringforfun I think Shirley was going on about technique and gave her a 5 and I wasn't pleased about that at all. I think personally Shirley 'Yes Men, No Women' Ballas went full on soft with the blokes believe it or not when Kelvin (Mr Fletcher) gets the highest score indicating Motsi 'Yes Men, No Women' Mabuse will engineer Oti Mabuse to win so badly. It's no longer really Strictly Come Dancing, it should be renamed Strictly 'Yes Men, No Women' Dancing since the public go nuts through the roof for men and flat dead through the wooden floor for women. There is really only 1 type of winners in anything they want and that's men only and never women.

I'm glad Anton finally didn't get a, for lack of a better term, "joker partner" cuz maybe now he'll actually take his choreo seriously. Real talk though this was really well done. Emma's kicks, while they could've been sharper were clean. And she a had a great bounce and energy throughout the whole dance. Looking forward to see more. (7)

I hate how Shirley instantly brought up the fact Emma may have had some sort of knowledge in dancing through attending drama and arts schools and stuff. It's just the stuff actors do. Like... I felt like she dwelled on that and then just had to make herself seem harsh to justify it. This was definitely undermarked & the song seemed too fast. Glad Anton finally has someone with potential though, looks like he's making it to Blackpool!

You forget that Anton actually did make the Finals a few years ago. The problem was that his Ballroom Showdance didn't quite measure up to what I would have expected out of him. Hopefully, he'll make it all the way this year -- I think he and Emma are ones to watch for sure!

Anton every mum's favourite lol. She wasn't pointing her toes and it was abit slow but she embraced it very well and she has good bounce and kicks and flicks. Anton put alot of content in it this time. She has so much potential and the acting was good. She is a very natural dancer I think, nerves but I think she was undermarked. I thought good energy but sometimes she got a bit lost and it was laboured but she picked it up very well. The next Katie Derham. *7/10* very good first dance

Neat, clean, precise, lovely musicality and lovely personality. For me, it was lacking more sharpness and attack as well as the slipping of the standing foot during the kicks and also the rotation of the hips during the jive chassees. Haven't said that, for me it was pretty rhythmical, it was well placed, she controlled her long limbs, she acted her part and she produced a pretty decent routine. A 6.

Only Eastenders fans will understand the song choice and scenery

Definitely undermarked compared with some other performances, Shirley (who I do like) seemed a bit mean and more critical off this performance than any other

Good to see Anton with a well fit partner for a change.

Why such low numbers? I thought that was amazing.

Shirley's feedback seemed harsher towards Emma and Anton compared to the other dancers. Maybe she expected more because of Emma's dance experience but I'm also wondering if there's something going on back stage the public don't know about!

Not the song choice I’d go for. It sounded very sweet (no pun intended) but ultimately the dance struggled to reach a new dynamic. However technically I feel very good and I feel the most undermarked along with Alex if you compared some other marks. She has great potential but more energy is needed in these Latin numbers but I have no doubt she will nail ballroom She is partnered with the king after all 6.5 (also I love Anton taking the selfie at the end like he’s trying to stay youthful)

Any one else upset no one danced to september especially taking in to account the date :(

Personally, I blame Emma's packed schedule. This had the potential to be OMG amazing, and it was great, but it could have been better if she had more time to train. Please, soap bosses! Let the woman have time off! She needs this! Anton needs this!!!

Shirley was kind of rude to her. I think she lost the plot when she scored Mike over this (who did loads of faffing about as Len would say). I thought she did okay (although I'm afraid Anton is going to pull her down). Anton's latin is dreadful. Anyway, I'd give this a 6.
