Emir of Kano arrives to greet Charles in Rolls Royce used by Queen

Prince Charles, 69, and Camilla, 70, arrived in the capital Abuja on a private jet and were greeted by a Guard of Honour on the red carpet, before heading for the Presidential Villa to meet the country's leader. Camilla kept her cool in 33C heat in a pink Anna Valentine kaftan and a parasol as her husband inspected the Guard of Honour (right).

Timeless Classic. That Rolls Royce engine was designed by Nubar Gulbenkian, a British nobleman of Armenian descent and an engineer. That is one out of twenty two Rolls Royces owned by him, which was a present by the Queen Elizabeth to Emir Muhammadu Sanusi I on the occasion of her visit to Kano in 1956.
