Pure Genius Lyrically I forgot how great this song was I remembered the hook but the story, rhyming and the tone are all 10 out of 10

Headlights has to be the next song it’s basically a part 2 to this song

One of my favorite songs by him

It just breaks my heart knowing a mother put her son through some of the worst emotional pain imaginable. From the pill popping to the neglect and telling her own son that she would rather him die. I’m just so disgusted and appalled by what she did to her own son that I’m really glad he was able to vent about it in his own way. Still, I shed a tear every time I listen.

I'd love to see you guys react to Headlights following this, it picks up on the same themes a decade later and puts a good close on the topic.

The phrase "Cleaning out my closet" is saying that he is tired of keeping the truth about his past inside, and he wants to let everyone know about the things that happened in his childhood. This is my fav, I can feel his pain, his voice has honesty here which directly touches ur soul :(

I always felt so connected to this song. I could relate to it in a way. I used to be so angry at my mom for not caring about me. After she died and headlights came out a couple of years later, oh boy . Gosh I cried, my mom died in bed next to me, when I was nineteen and I just couldn't. Eminem grew up and he understood what his mother's struggle was. I love how how he tells a story through out different projects and connects them.

I have seen a few reaction vids and am kinda shocked no one's noticing "mom" dumping cleaner pine sol or something in his cereal.. I mean I'm old I reacted to this when it came out old! Munchausen syndrome is where the caregiver, usually mother, tells their child that they are sick and takes them to doctors and hospitals in order to get attention and medication. This usually starts out as the parent just making the kid believe they are sick but when doctors start to clock on to the fact that there's nothing wrong with the child the parent usually resorts to using drugs on the child to get the results they want (dizziness, nausea, stomach pain etc etc) to get doctors to start believing them. It's all about the parent making people belive the child is sick. That's the easiest way I can explain it, I did a dissertation on Munchausen Syndrome a few years ago.

Almost. Munchausen syndrome is a factitious disorder where a person pretends to be sick, or induces illness, to gain attention or sympathy. Munchausen syndrome by proxy is when a person imposses it on another person for attention or sympathy.

Hello @rockreacts I understand this vid was filmed a while ago but for Munchausen syndrome question you guys had let me give you an example of Munchausen syndrome. It's like me being 10-12 years old and my mother puts chemicals or house cleaners in my cereal where it gets me sick or positions me, then she helps take care of you and so forth so she can get attention and say how she is a great mother and so forth.
