Emily Ratajkowski on her complex relationship with her own image

Ойын-сауық

Emily Ratajkowski is famous in part because she's beautiful - and she's the first to admit that. The model and actor has made a successful career off of her looks, but she’s also had to contend with losing ownership and control of her image. She spoke with Tom Power about her first book of essays, My Body, which examines feminism, artistry and the commodification of sexuality.

Some people just are not allowed to make mistakes it seems. They might judge themselves, but she’s clearly a sensitive and intelligent person who is doing her best. Wish more people with her level of audience were as decent. Or at least as decent seeming.

I am just learning about who Emily Ratajkowski and she's actually v intelligent and extremely well spoken and as a woman in her mid fifties find i have similar views about the politics of being a woman in this crazy culture of ours.

There’s so much more to the book than Blurred Lines… it’s too bad some interviewers can’t help but focus on that.
