Noob Of All Trades Scots (one 't') ARE British. Hence McAvoy's presence in this video. Britain = England, Scotland and Wales. United Kingdom = Britain plus Northern Ireland
Watching an episode of The Graham Norton Show, James McAvoy was speaking in a regular/generic british accent, then he pointed to the audience and start talking with his Granfather which was there in a tottally "strange language" which I take a few seconds to recognize as Scottish! Such a talent turn his speaking manners so quickly anda great respect to talk that way with his Grandad!!!
I love that they mentioned "Countdown". It's simply one of the best shows.
McAvoy should try standup comedy for shits and giggles. Even if he bombs on stage, it'll be a magnificent failure in the most British way possible.

I served James McAvoy in an Argos in Glasgow once. I was really hungover, didn’t recognise him and was sick in a bin whilst serving another customer.

I did theatre at uni and our Stage Management tutor went to uni/drama school with James back in Scotland. Got a handful of stories about 'Jimmy' and it's weird realising he's the same guy who's been in these movies and is fairly well known in Hollywood.

James in his Scottish accent ❤️ (Even better when he's going full Scottish, imitating his grandparents 😂 )
I feel having breakfast or tea with these two would be highly entertaining!

Only Brits will understand the class clash undertones in this video. Emily looking embarrassed when he's talking about allotments. One of many subtle examples.

I noticed it with the Scotch Pie too she was like "this is a dinner?", He's proper Scottish working class and she is middle class I'd say because she's a little bit posh but she knows The Sun is scum so definitely not upper class, great video always good to hear a Glaswegian actor stop talking politely and hitting out with the slang we were raised with.
