    I use EMGs with the 24v mod. I recommend, as it "opens" the sound

    Cleans on HetSet are improved but the 81 just nails the Metallica tone. Also, how do you like the Kahler on your Explorer?

    They sound great hey! Absolutely love them. I never liked the Kahler bridge. However… since really playing this guitar after the pickup change, it’s been behaving and I actually don’t mind it. I don’t like using the whammy on it, that feels strange, but now once it’s set, everything stays in tune the whole gig and it plays well. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Why didn't you just install them yourself if you already had emgs in it already?
