@@ktoutdoor fyi, I have the exact system you are showing. We watched your video at the campsite & you helped us proceed to the emergency system. Thank you for the video. Problem we had was our threaded bolts just turned endlessly. Apparently nothing was attached to the other end? And calling HWH was useless. They had no regard to the customer in the field with an issue. Once again, thanks for leading us in the right direction. I just wished the backup retracting process worked as designed.

I have a 2005 Winnebago Adventurer 37B. It has 2 bedroom slides and a living room slide on the drivers side. I extended the living room slide and it would not retract. I hear the motor running but it will not move. My bedroom slides are very slow now but they will work. I cannot get the pressure to release from the retract and extend solenoid valves for the living room (I can't hear anything that is). I did the 4 1/2 turns. The cranking tension was so great I could see my mounting plates flexing. Is one of my hydraulic cylinders locked? Fortunately I am in my driveway.

@@ktoutdoor yes and the rear side is low, but it seems that the stage that has the support is not starting to slide out quick enough, allowing the shoe and rollers to hit. I think the problem is in and out wise, and not height. Thanks for helping out!!!!

Kevin, after the slide has been retracted and it's time to back the cranking bolts off, how far will they back off? Will the nuts and long screw shaft hit a stop or will they back off and come apart?

Does your bedroom slide screw-in the same way? I did this procedure on my 2004 Winnebago Brave 30W living room. The bedroom is smaller, only has one ram, and I don't see a threaded-rod device to screw that one in with.

@@ktoutdoor Thanks for the reply. That is what I had to do. On our first voyage, at more than 700 miles from home, my living room slide was trying to go out sideways (just one ram). In troubleshooting I found a puddle of fluid under the ram that was moving. The bedroom was already out. I didn't know about these screws on the big slide. I made some frames out of lumber to place on the top of the retracted slide and jamb between the inside of the main bulkhead and the slide's flange. This was to keep my slides from coming out. I'm home now and trying to find and repair my leak, but my rams are not as exposed as yours. The rams are behind some sheet metal and are inside of the rails. The hydraulic lines for the ram go through a hole in the metal box to het to the ram. When I try to operate the ram, fluid leaks out from the seams in the box where the ram is on the other side. Strange thing, even when I try to operate the bedroom, it doesn't move and I have a puddle up by the front room.
