I love the sense of realism that radiates from this footage, from the correct level of VHS distortion from early 2000s recordings to the layout and sound design. One bit of feedback I do have is that text and speech goes by a little bit fast, which in a real life emergency scenario would be difficult for those with reading difficulties to keep up with. Having a full description on screen, that is repeated after being shown first time would be more efficient to have in an emergency scenario.

Outstanding work. One thing that kind of bothers me is that the EAS orders people to evacuate the scenes instead of seeking shelter, as I believe would be the right call. Hundreds of people flooding the streets trying to escape would only provide the attackers with more targets. Since it was a mass shooting, it would be unlikely they would break into buildings, as the streets are far more abundant with targets, unless those buildings were very crowded, like pubs and clubs. That's what happened in Paris, 2015.

I also found that a bit unrealistic. Generally In these kinds of situations, Shelter in place is what’s advised.
For a literal lack of a better word, this is awesome. If you make more EAS stuff, do this sort of play-by-play of a fast event instead of a nuclear attack.

Love the video man, the explosion actually made my heart jump due to it scaring me lol and it was beating quickly, love watching these videos There is only 1 thing that I would reccomend, which is making the voice a bit lower quality, as it would better match with the theme (thats just my opinion tho)
These are great. I like the detail warning people not to call loved ones. Since it wasnt until the digital switch over that emergency services had their own communication frequency. (they now use the frequency that used to broadcast TV signals before the switch over) So before that the emergency services were using the same frequencies as telephone services which during emergencies could get jammed with people trying to call loved ones. (I presume you know this but comment added for people reading comments on the vid)
Obviously there are only so many scenarios where an Emergency Broadcast System would be enacted, but this scenario would warrant only normal news coverage, and certainly wouldn't have an automated voice quoting attackers.
Holy crap, I'm glad I had the volume turned down! Even then that explosion scared the crap out of me!

This is just Tuesday in America. Wouldn't even make the news.
Just imagine this : you’re at home watching the latest episode of Hollyoaks, when all of a sudden the screen goes black then comes back on, although this time with a man (or woman) saying this : this is an emergency broadcast from Channel 4, please ensure your device is audible. You then have no idea what it is about, then the announcer goes on to explain what type of disaster is happening and what you should do to ensure your life is safe.
"and today we explore an alternate universe where Britain becomes the battlefield" nah it's gonna become the call of duty

This is incredible. There isn’t really and Analogue horror situated in the UK and the fact that this is set in the early 2000s is more nostalgic and relatable because most people watching may have been alive at that time. Although realistically I don’t think it would be an EAS broadcast and rather it would be on live television after the first attack similar to the 9/11 attacks. But this video was amazing nonetheless as the eeriness of happy music playing in intermission while you know possibly hundreds of people are dying is unsettling to say the least!
