My only real issue with this is that if it was meant to take place in the 1980s maybe make the audio sound like it was from a vhs or something to make it sound like it was actually from the 1980s but other then that I think that it is really well done. Good job harvester!

Well to be fair...the only reason why the 80s sounds the way it sounds is because of degradation of the media itself. It would've sounded much clear if being there live. If this is supposed to be a "live" alternate timeline, then no...it wouldn't have sounded like the 80s.

I'd also like to add that people spoke differently and had different mannerisms in the 80's.. a little bit of research into behavior would've gone a long way for the sake of authenticity.

Once again, your scenarios are why looking into alternate timelines is a great idea.

The voice acting on this one is phenomenal, especially when the news anchor’s voice breaks when he says “the worst has come to pass.” For curiosity’s sake, I’m really glad we have you to give us a look into these alternate scenarios.

Holy fuck, this is extremely well done. Between the visual effects, audio distortion, usage of clips, and audio cues, this looks like a broadcast that could have actually happened. I am seriously impressed. While I don't want to try to analyze this into the deepest manner with every detail to match it up to ABC standards at the time, it would be really cool to see how it would compare to a special report of that time.

*Once again I got a scare with the notification thinking it was Rebuild. 🤣*

nah, this ain't the Rebulid series, it is based around the '83 timeline, while this scenario is based in '81

These alternatie timelines are really interesting and well-made, huge congrats for that work. We often don't think about how history would've turned out if certain events would've occured and these glimpses into an alternative future are really interesting

The delivery was rather flat, and everyone sounds too young (especially in the case of Hawson.) It does enough not to break the scenario though.

Yes John Hinckley Jr was the attempted assassin's name. He thankfully did not succeed in his assassination attempt upon Mr Reagan because thanks to modern medicine they were able to save his life Mr Reagan's I mean.

I think the emotion you can hear, and the hesitation in the last segment makes this so realistic.

These videos have a really cool feel. They look like they really could've aired in 1981.

I know it's different circumstances as she was 96, but this scenario reminds me of how the BBC, ITV, Channel 5, Sky and CNN here in the UK (but not Channel 4 as they weren't already on air at the time) announced the death of the Queen (ie already in rolling coverage when the death was announced)

A small bit of constructive criticism - the "eye witness testimonies" feel kinda wooden because of how pre-planned out what they're saying is. There's no ums, ahs, or anything that people normally do when speaking off the cuff.

But it happened to Abe

the delivery of the lines felt real stilted which aint inherently enough to collapse a piece, but given the ltd visual presentation & the alt-real vibe it's goin for, i kept feeling like i was listening to random civs reading off a script

Because I think if he does remake it he would use this as the point of divergence, since it would effectively be the same (Reagan here would've had less time in office than James Garfield, Bush Sr would've become the 80s president since he was the vice president)

Nice EAS, however I it has one major issue. I don't know if you decided to do it like that because of the video lenght, but it definitly should be done in such scenario. This issue is that commenter informated TV viewers of president's shooting and immediatly after time-filling interviews he announced presiden't death. In real emergencies like that, TV stations are getting pieces of information gradually. For example, when the Smolensk Air Disaster happened, TV stations at first thought that some plane crashed, then they knew that the plane that crashed was the one with president on board, next they announced that there are injuries, then that the president is injured, and at the end that president is dead. Also when any information arrive to the TV stations, there is always some moment of absolute silence after it's announced. Even TV reporters cannot sometimes get hold their emotions.
