We lived on Oahu for 3 years and its beautiful if you get away from the city. I used to take my kids for drives, and we would search for a place for them to swim in the ocean. When we did the Hawaii cruise, I always look forward to the dancers. The islands have a hula competition that is a really big deal and so fun to watch all of them compete. Loved the huge turtles too! Thanks for sharing :)

Nice video and thanks for continuing to share your car rental Truro info! We are taking our first cruise to Hawaii in January. Plan on doing the Ranch UTV excursion and a snorkeling excursion otherwise visiting beaches.

Dee I'm so glad you mentioned that temple being from Lost! I knew I had seen it before and as soon as you said it, the memory kicks in. This is a great video, very enjoyable!

Originally, it was Puka Dog. Puka = hole. Named for the hole in the bun. When the owners divorced, one kept the rights to the name. The other operates as Hula Dog. Both offer the same bread, sausages and toppings. Aloha! Prayers for Maui.

The most entertaining 2$ spent I feel this from when we did gatorland and fed the little birds with popsicle sticks that had seeds and goodies on them. We 100% would pick that over the gator pellets every time now 😅. Also when we went to Maui we made lots of bird friends too. Naturally a bird lover so I’ve got lots of pictures of random birds coming to steal my rice from my loco moco breakfasts 😂 My husband before actually seeing and experiencing a luau thought they were a tourist trap. I’m sure there are some that are but the good ones just want to share and teach their culture and history of hula. It’s such a beautiful art form. I can’t wait to go back to Hawaii again

Amazing day in Ohau! Beautiful! Wondering if you have climbed to the top of the Diamond Head crater. The views of the city are amazing. Long walk but doable and worth it. Now that you finally enjoy walking...🙄😬👍

Looks like you may have missed look out spot at Punchbowl. Itʻs on the right-hand side behind the big memorial; panoramic views of the south shore from Diamond Head to the east to the airport and the Ewa Plains in the west on one side and views of Makiki and Manoa Valley on the other side. Itʻs a little hike up with dedication plaques lining both sides of the walkway.

We did the Pearl Harbor tour and did go to Punchbowl but tour buses aren't allowed to stop (it wasn't a big bus, but still) so you probably got the better side of it this way.

You are correct that Ululani is the king but you are incorrect about there not being one on Oahu. They opened one next to Leonard’s in Waikiki earlier this year and it was just as good!

12:30 I Googled it - Chinaman's Hat was nicknamed for its resemblance to the straw hats worn by early chinese immigrants. Its name in Hawaiian is Mokoli'i, or “little lizard”.

I know it's not Google, but you mention it's included with something? Please let me know what app that is 😁. Thanks.
