For the Pearl Harbor Memorial Tour, there's 4 packages. You can buy 1, 2, or all 4. Save some money & skip the 2 museum tours. Pretty much everyone does, so they don't even check your tickets at all, so you could go in for free. It's pretty boring IMHO. Just pay for the other 2 packages, going out to the memorial & submarine. Get there before 11am or 12 noon. That's when the tour buses arrive & the hordes of ppl show up & the lines begin for everything. As for waterfalls, DO NOT go on the same day that it rained. Maybe the following day. All you see is dirty, muddy water. Very unsightly. I was there in 2019, & going back in Jan 2024. Can't wait.

I am planning a trip to Oahu next year. What is the best cheapest way besides taking the bus to get to Downtown or Waikiki? Is it easy to get a Uber from the airport? Any ideas? Awesome video! It taught me alot and I just subscribed! Keep up the good work!

I’m thinking about doing a Hawaii travel video because this one crazy. First let me say, I will grant you that you can bus the Honolulu/waikiki area on a bus or bike even. Outside of that, if you want to see the island you should 100% rent a car or SUV. Hawaii Oahu might not be a large island but is it larger than most think and having freedom to get around is a big deal if you want to catch it all. Yes you can Uber, lift, or share but that’s gonna end up being more costly unless you’re only leaving the Honolulu area once or twice. Parking is costly but if you’re doing a lot outside of Honolulu then return and rent won’t really work unless you plan on doing late morning or early afternoon hikes and excursions. You can do that but keep in mind that hikes are much better early morning thay even mid morning. Most trails are crowded by 9 am and the heat really kicks up even in the morning. Same with excursions, most have 2 times outside of fishing and the afternoon is always hot. I would normally suggest exploring, hiking, and excursions in the AM and beach laying out or pool time in the afternoon. None the less I would budget for a car at least part of your trip, the very first time I visited Oahu as a young 20 year old I thought we could manage without and boy was I wrong. Took a day and a half before we rented and it was well worth it. The island has so much to do offer outside of the city so getting out is so much more of a better experience. I have visited Hawaii every summer for over 15 years and I can tell you that Hawaii never gets old and you can always find things to do but you need to plan before going. Also, budget!!! You don’t need the tours for the most part because you’ll get more out of a car and research but there are a few things that you have to pay for. Kualoa Ranch for example is costly but worth is and zip lining on the north shore is beyond beautiful. This video suggests skipping Hanauma bay and I would agree. There are a ton of catamaran excursions that will take you snorkeling in better spot without the crowds and most provide a bag lunch and drinks. Food isn’t gourmet but it gets the job done and the drinks are great for what they are. All in all I think Hawaii is one of the best places to visit anywhere worldwide. I’ve been to so many places in the world and can tell you that most places don’t have the same standards as the U.S food wise. That’s not to say that you won’t find some the best restaurants in the world in other counties because you will. But most places just won’t have the same standards across the board as the U.S. Also, there are so many places that you go to and you’re stuck in the resort due to safety or just nothing overly exciting to do. Hawaii is like being in another country with America standards and safety but the diversity of food is simply amazing. One of the best things about Oahu is that you can dine at a world class high end restaurant for a great meal or just stop into just about any random strip center and eat at a local hole in the wall and still get one of the best meals you’re ever gonna eat. You really don’t have to break the bank on eating for every meal and you won’t lack for quality. But remember, budget for some things.

Waikiki in Oahu, Hawaii is and a lways will be my home . The people there are my Ohana if anyone understands the hawaiian Language

Unfortunately we are destined to just cruise around Napali Coast on Kauai.Our original ship had a visit to Lahaina,Maui but that was cancelled sadly.It’s not the first either that would have taken us to several islands but that was also cancelled.Seems this one is the only way we can get to see some of Hawaii this year on Royal Caribbean,I think they are doing only two sailings this season now.

Hi Karen It depends a lot on what u are looking for. Oahu has some good sights but is also the most populous. Check out our top rated visitor guide for the island of Kaui to see an island w a different feel. We’ll also be creating a guide for the Big Island later this month. Check that one out too. All the islands have a different feel so it’s hard to make a specific recommendation.

I'm sorry I don't have any recommendations. We did stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and they offer a luau- of course you have to pay for it even as a hotel guest. It got pretty good reviews.
